The eighth stage is called the stage of entering the fruit of the earth. The stage called the stage of seeing is that one who abides in the fruit of entering the stream realizes the true nature of the Dharma without inversion or confusion, and because of seeing, it is called the stage of seeing. The stage called the stage of thinning is that one who comes back once makes the desire for desire realm thinner, so it is called the stage of thinning. The stage called the stage of being free from desire is that one who abides in the stage of non-returning has abandoned all desires of the desire realm, so it is called the stage of being free from desire. The stage called the stage of realizing what has been done is that one who abides in the stage of Arhat has abandoned all the afflictions of the three realms, and has completely accomplished the merits of Arhat, and with the wisdom of seeing liberation, he knows that what should be done has been done. The pure conduct has been practiced, and it will not be possible to experience another existence from this, so the stage of Arhat is called the stage of realizing what has been done. Thus, the stages of the hearers, and the nine stages such as the first stage of the Bodhisattva, are completely transcended, and abiding in the tenth stage is the tenth stage of the Bodhisattva, as it is taught. The one who abides in the Buddha stage is that the Bodhisattva abides in the tenth stage, and because he has completely perfected the accumulation of merit and wisdom, he is similar to the Buddha, so he is called the one who abides in the Buddha stage. Subhuti, thus the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should be known to have truly entered the Great Vehicle. The meaning of from the first stage to the tenth stage is that the Bodhisattva completely abandons all faults, completely perfects all merits, and completely practices the ten stages of the Bodhisattva, they should be known to have truly entered the Great Vehicle, thus summarizing and explaining the meaning of truly entering the Great Vehicle mentioned above. Subhuti, what you said, "From where does this vehicle come?" etc., is the word of Subhuti asking the Blessed One, "From where does this vehicle come?" In the conventional truth, the Great Vehicle arises from the three realms and abides in the omniscient wisdom, and in the ultimate truth,

And also there is no arising from the three realms, and there is no abiding in the all-knowingness, this is to show this point. In a non-appearing way, it will arise from the three realms. It will abide in the all-knowingness, this is called the Mahayana, it arises from the three realms in a conventional way, it is to show that it will abide in the all-knowingness. Why is that? Subhuti, this is because, like this, whatever is the Mahayana, and whatever is the all-knowingness, these two dharmas are neither existent nor non-existent, etc., because in the ultimate truth, the Mahayana and the all-knowingness are not different, so arising from the three realms, and will abide in the all-knowingness, it shows that there is no difference. These two dharmas are neither existent nor non-existent, which means that in the ultimate truth, the Mahayana and the all-knowingness have no nature of oneness and otherness. The so-called "not existent" is to show that there is no nature of oneness. The so-called "not non-existent" is to show that there is no nature of otherness. Without form, unshowable, without obstruction, like this, no nature is one nature, this is to show the reason why the Mahayana and the all-knowingness are not different in the ultimate truth. Why is that? Subhuti, the dharma without nature, neither arises, nor will arise, nor has arisen, this is because, like this, the Mahayana and the all-knowingness have no things in the ultimate truth, because no nature is one nature, so now there is no arising from the three realms, nor will it arise later, nor has it arisen before, this is to show this point. Subhuti, if someone thinks that the dharmas without nature will arise, then he thinks that the dharma-dhatu will arise, from Subhuti, if someone thinks that the dharmas without nature will arise, then he thinks that the dharma-dhatu of cessation will arise, up to this point, it is said that the synonyms belonging to the nature of emptiness of the dharma-dhatu, such as Suchness, Reality-limit, etc., among those, the meaning
