Therefore, it is called the eighth ground. The ground called "seeing ground" is so called because it abides in the fruit of stream-enterer, and for the person on the path beyond the world, it sees the Dharma of selflessness. The ground called "attenuated ground" is so called because the once-returner has made the desire for desire in the desire realm thin, therefore the ground of the once-returner is called the attenuated ground. The ground called "ground free from desire" is so called because the non-returner has abandoned the desire for desire and malice in the desire realm, therefore the ground of the non-returner is called the ground free from desire. The ground called "ground of accomplished act" is so called because the Arhat realizes that he has done what he should do, and there is no other existence beyond this, etc., therefore the ground of the Arhat is called the ground of accomplished act. Among these grounds, the white, pure, all-seeing ground is the ground of the Bodhisattva who abides in the ground of adhimukti-caryā (practice of conviction). The ground of lineage is the common ground of the Śrāvakas and Bodhisattvas who abide in the ground of adhimukti-caryā. The eighth ground, the seeing ground, the attenuated ground, the ground free from desire, and the ground of accomplished act are all grounds of the Śrāvakas. The ground called "Pratyekabuddha ground" is so called because it does not rely on the teachings of others, but realizes the profound meaning of dependent origination with its own wisdom, and either abides together with its retinue, or abides alone like a rhinoceros horn, therefore it is called the Pratyekabuddha ground. The ground called "Bodhisattva ground" refers to the ten grounds, such as the Bodhisattva's Extremely Joyful Ground. The ground called "Buddha ground" refers to the All-Illuminating Ground of the Buddha ground. Because of the emptiness of the internal, the first ground is unattainable, and up to because of the emptiness of the nature of non-thing, the tenth ground is unattainable. This means that each of the ten grounds, such as the White, Pure, All-Seeing Ground, is combined with the eighteen emptinesses, and because of such emptiness, these grounds are unattainable. Why is that? Subhuti, because of the extreme purity, the first ground is unattainable, it is neither attainable nor unattainable, and up to because of the extreme purity, the tenth ground is unattainable, it is neither attainable nor unattainable.

Up to the knowable, these ten bhumis are thus empty. Because of no object of focus, it is shown to be free from the two extremes of having an object of focus and not having an object of focus, because of being extremely pure. If one holds onto extreme purity, because of the emptiness of the inner, maturing sentient beings has no object of focus. From this point, if one holds onto extreme purity, because of the emptiness of the nature of non-things, the five eyes have no object of focus. Until this point, maturing sentient beings and purifying the Buddha-field, as well as the five eyes of the Tathagata, are also without real things in the ultimate sense. If combined with extreme purity and the eighteen emptinesses, it is shown that there is no object of focus. Subhuti, thus the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, and by not focusing on all dharmas, abides in the omniscient wisdom through the Great Vehicle. This refers to who will be produced by that vehicle? The answer to Subhuti's question is summarized as showing the bhumi. According to the order mentioned above, the Bodhisattva who practices the Prajnaparamita arises from the three realms and abides in the omniscient wisdom, thus it is shown. The extensive explanation of the One Hundred Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, Chapter Eleven is completed. Chapter Eleven, The Chapter on Renunciation.
