The meaning of "no complete loss of intention" is not like the noble Shravaka Arhats who, after attaining their own level, do not develop a desire for the higher Buddha level and the vast activities of the Buddha. The Tathagatas, however, have constant intention and desire to always perform vast activities such as benefiting sentient beings, and they spontaneously accomplish them. Therefore, it is called "no complete loss of intention." The meaning of "no complete loss of diligence" is that the Tathagatas, in order to benefit sentient beings, do not forget to perform activities of body, speech, and mind. Even for the sake of one sentient being, they do not abandon diligence for countless eons. Therefore, it is called "no loss of diligence." The meaning of "no complete loss of wisdom" is that the Tathagatas' power of mindfulness is completely pure, and they can clearly see the past, future, and present actions, thoughts, habits, and so on of all sentient beings. In accordance with these, they do not forget the various methods of performing beneficial activities. Therefore, it is called "no complete loss of wisdom." The meaning of "no complete loss of samadhi" is that the Tathagatas are always in samadhi, whether they are in meditation or not. They do not fall from the samadhi of single-pointed concentration on Suchness. Therefore, it is called "no complete loss of samadhi." The meaning of "no complete loss of wisdom" is that the Tathagatas' power of wisdom is completely pure, and they possess inexhaustible knowledge of the actions of sentient beings and inexhaustible individual perfect knowledge. Therefore, it is called "no complete loss of wisdom." The meaning of "no complete loss of liberation" is that the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas are only liberated from the obscurations of afflictions. The Tathagatas, however, have purified both the obscurations of afflictions and the obscurations of knowledge, even down to the habitual tendencies. They have no obscurations whatsoever and are liberated in all aspects. Therefore, it is called "no complete loss of liberation." The meaning of "no complete loss of the wisdom vision of liberation" is that

Thus, having been liberated from afflictions and the obscuration of knowledge, having attained the greatness of non-abiding nirvana, arising from the subsequent attainment of non-discrimination, the pure worldly wisdom, knowing and seeing liberation from afflictions and the obscuration of knowledge, spontaneously accomplishing and arising, without obscuration, the wisdom vision of liberation, there is no complete deterioration, it is said thus. Liberation and the wisdom vision of liberation, the two are inseparable in the nature of liberation, therefore they are counted as one. All bodily activities are preceded by wisdom, which is to follow after wisdom, this does not refer to noble hearers, arhats, etc., who, due to the power of past unpurified habitual patterns, perform actions without being mindful and without awareness, it is not like that. All the bodily activities of the Thus-Gone One will not be done with distraction and unawareness. When acting with knowledge, it is said that wisdom precedes and follows wisdom, where wisdom precedes means that it arises from the cause of giving knowledge beforehand. Following wisdom means that it is inseparable from knowledge, which means acting with knowledge. All speech activities are preceded by wisdom, which is to follow after wisdom, which means that the speech activities of the Thus-Gone One are not spoken without meaning, and in accordance with the thoughts and habitual tendencies of sentient beings, and in accordance with teaching the Dharma, and accomplishing various meanings, only thus does it arise. All mind activities are preceded by wisdom, which is to follow after wisdom, which means that the mind activities of the Thus-Gone One are also separated from all habitual patterns of obscuration, becoming the state of great love and great compassion, only accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings arises. Wisdom preceding and following wisdom is as before. The wisdom vision that is unobstructed and unattached to the past time goes on, etc., which means that the wisdom of the Thus-Gone One is shown to be unobstructed in the three times, noble hearers, arhats, etc. for a long time in the past, the mind...
