The eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, as well as letters, as well as supernormal knowledges, as well as the doors of samadhi, as well as the doors of dharani, as well as the completely purified dharmas, should also be applied in the same way. World-Honored One, therefore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he should not abide in all the doors of dharani. This is because the dharmas that are the cause of samsara, such as form, as well as the completely purified dharmas, are empty by their very nature, so it is not appropriate to abide in them. Therefore, it is taught that one should not abide in them. Among them, one should not abide in letters, because one should not abide with the view that letters such as the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A) are real. One should not abide in the manifestation of letters, because relying on the syllables of letters such as A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A), the dharani wisdom that realizes the meaning of non-arising arises. This is called the manifestation of letters, and it is also taught that one should not abide in this, because the dharani wisdom does not arise from the very beginning. A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A) is called the door of all dharmas, which is manifested from such speech. The syllables of letters are spoken as words, and some Bodhisattvas with extremely sharp faculties, if they rely on one meaning of non-arising and meditate, will become the cause of attaining perfect enlightenment. People with intermediate faculties, if they rely on two letters and become accustomed to the expression of two words, will become the cause of attaining perfect enlightenment. People with inferior faculties, if they rely on the expression of many words and become accustomed to them, will become the cause of attaining perfect enlightenment. Therefore, the Buddha said that one should not abide in a single expression, one should not abide in a dual expression, and one should not abide in different expressions. Through the door of expressing words with one letter, two letters, and many letters, the wisdom of form arises and becomes the cause of attaining perfect enlightenment. It is also taught that one should not abide in such a state.

The meaning of not dwelling on "from...to..." is as before. Thus, having shown that one should not dwell on the Dharma, now, in order to show that one should not dwell on the nature of the Dharma. World Honored One, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, he should not dwell on the words "form is impermanent," and so on, as has been said. Not dwelling on the nature of the Dharma, that is, from "one should not dwell on the words 'form is impermanent,'" to "World Honored One, therefore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, he should not dwell on the ultimate reality." Among them, "the very impermanence of form" refers to the impermanence of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, which is the characteristic of arising and ceasing, and is the nature of what is completely imputed. The impermanence of the Bodhisattvas is said to be the meaning of non-existence based on the characteristic of non-existence. Thus, what is always existent is called permanent. Conversely, what is always non-existent and non-existent at all times is called the impermanence of the Bodhisattvas. Therefore, the characteristic of non-existence is the very impermanence of ultimate truth. The statement "the very impermanence of form is empty of the very impermanence of form" means that the ultimate impermanence of the Bodhisattvas, for the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, the place of the completely imputed characteristic of arising and ceasing, because there is no self-nature of impermanence. This is the teaching that "the very impermanence of form is empty of the very impermanence of form." What is the emptiness of the very impermanence of form? It is not the very impermanence of form, which means that the suchness of the very impermanence of form in ultimate truth is not the self-nature of the very impermanence of form in complete imputation. If that is the case, then would the Dharma and the nature of the Dharma become other? In response to this, it is said that "there is no emptiness apart from the very impermanence of form, the very impermanence of form is emptiness, and emptiness is the very impermanence of form," which is to show that apart from the suchness of the very impermanence of ultimate truth, the completely imputed form of impermanence does not exist as a thing.
