Like a champak flower or a fine red cloth from Varanasi, showing red, being red, appearing like red, emitting red light. Similarly, perceiving that there is no form inside, the external form is red, showing red, being red, appearing like red, emitting red light, this is the fifth overcoming base. Perceiving that there is no form inside, the external form is white, showing white, being white, appearing like white, emitting white light. For example, the color of the morning star is white, showing white, being white, appearing like white, emitting white light. Similarly, perceiving that there is no form inside, the external form is white, showing white, being white, appearing like white, emitting white light, this is the sixth overcoming base. Completely transcending all concepts of form, extinguishing the concepts of resistance, not attending to various different concepts, thinking that space is infinite, perfecting the sphere of infinite space, abiding in this, this is the seventh overcoming base. Completely transcending all spheres of infinite space, thinking that consciousness is infinite, perfecting the sphere of infinite consciousness, abiding in this, this is the eighth overcoming base. The saying, "One should perfect the sphere of understanding," is for the purpose of taming the mind and making it serviceable. In all ten directions, whether it is earth, water, fire, wind, blue, yellow, red, white, space, or consciousness, one should contemplate and attend to filling the understanding, this is meditation. The saying, "One should perfect the four objects of gathering," is for the purpose of maturing sentient beings, by completely gathering all sentient beings through the four ways of giving, kind speech, beneficial action, and acting in concert, and establishing them in the right path. The saying, "One should perfect the four establishments," refers to the establishment of Dharma, the establishment of truth, and the establishment of reason.

Classification and establishment of vehicles. Among them, the classification of the establishment of Dharma is that the Sutra Pitaka and the sections proclaimed by songs, etc., are named and classified for the benefit of sentient beings. The classification of the establishment of truth is that, for the benefit of sentient beings, the four truths of ultimate truth and conventional truth are named and classified. The classification of the establishment of reason is the classification of the reason of dependence, the reason of action, the reason of establishing proof, and the reason of the nature of Dharma. The classification of the establishment of vehicles is to distinguish the Hearer Vehicle, the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, and the Bodhisattva Vehicle, and to name and classify them. The so-called "to perfect the ten grounds" means to perfect all the grounds of the Bodhisattva from the Joyful Ground to the Cloud of Dharma Ground. The so-called "to perfect the ten practices" means to perfect the ten kinds of Dharma practices for the benefit of sentient beings. The ten Dharma practices are: writing down the holy Dharma, reading, reciting, writing and giving to others, upholding, making offerings, listening, thinking, practicing, and proclaiming to others. The so-called "to perfect the ten kinds of forbearance" refers to: natural forbearance, forbearance of not caring about harm done by others, forbearance of experiencing suffering, forbearance of निश्चित faith in the Dharma, forbearance of difficult practices, forbearance of the gate of skillful means, forbearance of the noble person, forbearance in all प्रकार से, forbearance of desire for poverty, and forbearance of suffering in this life and the next. Among them, what is natural forbearance? That is, one who is naturally not agitated, does not retaliate, and does not hold grudges. What is the forbearance of not caring about harm done by others? That is, the Bodhisattva has such thoughts towards the sentient beings who harm him: These are merely fabrications dependent on conditions, and apart from this, there is no self, no sentient being, no life, no living being, no abuse, no anger, no beating, no exposing of shortcomings, thinking in this way, and sentient beings.
