It also shows that there are those who gather with the two. This is the forty-third. Sharadvatiputra, again, such as the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, up to those Buddhas, Bhagavan, with all kinds of equipment and various offerings, serving, respecting, honoring, offering, and worshiping, there are also. Some Bodhisattvas are diligent in the perfections of generosity and discipline, and reside in the position of the Chakravartin king for many lifetimes, with great power making many Buddhas in the ten directions happy, and making offerings, it is also shown that there are such. This is the forty-fourth. Sharadvatiputra, again, such as the Bodhisattva Mahasattva abiding in the six perfections, up to those who never separate from the light of Dharma, there are also. Some Bodhisattvas abide in the six perfections, and by teaching the Dharma, eliminate the darkness of ignorance of sentient beings, and after fully maturing them, attain enlightenment, it is also shown that there are such. This is the forty-fifth. Sharadvatiputra, this Bodhisattva Mahasattva is truly born from the Buddhadharma, referring to the order in which those Bodhisattvas mentioned above flourish and develop in the Buddhadharma.

Therefore, in order to distinguish when extensively explaining the Dharma, what are the faults of the three actions of body, speech, and mind? The Blessed One's words, etc., indicate what the faults of the three actions of body, speech, and mind are, namely, clinging to the reality of body, speech, and mind, and viewing their actions as real. This is a fault of the Bodhisattva, and should be abandoned like a sin, hence it is called a fault. Sharadvatiputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices Prajnaparamita, with what body, what speech, and what mind does he generate a mind of stinginess, etc., indicates that the opposing aspects of the six paramitas, namely, generating stinginess, etc., do not cling to the three of body, speech, and mind. Sharadvatiputra, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices Prajnaparamita, generating the evil abode of the body, etc., up to the point where there is no fault in the action of the mind, indicates that a Bodhisattva does not generate faults from the three doors of body, speech, and mind, and the reason why faults do not arise, namely, one should not merely think that generating the evil abode of the mind is sufficient, because it has nowhere to go. This means that a Bodhisattva will not generate such clinging faults from the three doors of body, speech, and mind. Evil abode and fault should be understood as synonyms for ridicule or error. The evil abode of the body is completely purified, which means that the Bodhisattva purifies and removes the faults of the body, and does not generate such faults. Question: Blessed One, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva purify the evil abode of the body, etc., is to dispel the doubts of the listeners, asking how to purify the evil abodes of body, speech, and mind, and that not clinging to the three of body, speech, and mind in ultimate truth is itself the purification of evil abodes.

This is the explanation. Sharadvatiputra, furthermore, from the moment a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva generates the first thought, they perfectly take up and abide in the paths of the ten virtuous actions, and so forth. This is another way of showing, in conventional truth, that there are no faults in body, speech, and mind. That is, after a Bodhisattva attains the first bhumi, they abide in the ten virtues, do not generate the mind of a Hearer or Solitary Realizer, and generate great compassion for all sentient beings, which is also to purify the faults of body, speech, and mind. Sharadvatiputra, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom, who perfects the path to enlightenment, and so forth, is saying that there are also those who perfect the path to enlightenment and perfect the six perfections, such as generosity, and thus shows the distinction of diligence. Question: Blessed One, what is the path to enlightenment of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva? This is because, after hearing the statement that "there are also those who perfect the path to enlightenment and practice the six perfections," one wonders if there is any other path to enlightenment besides the six perfections. The Blessed One replied, from "Thus, all phenomena are without object, without acceptance, and without rejection," to the end, is showing what the path to enlightenment is. That is, one does not regard as real the phenomena named by body, speech, and mind, and so forth, and not fixating on them, because not fixating is the cause of attaining unsurpassed enlightenment, therefore it is called the path to enlightenment. Sharadvatiputra, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices and diligently cultivates the six perfections in such a way cannot be overcome by anyone. This is saying that no demon or obstacle can overcome a Bodhisattva who abides in the non-fixation of all phenomena. Question: Blessed One, in what way do Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas practice so that they cannot be defeated? This is to elaborate on the previously briefly explained qualities of being invincible.
