That is to say, in terms of the ultimate truth, things are not proven to exist as real entities. Some might understand it this way: if Bodhisattvas and forms, etc., are empty of inherent existence in such a way that they are like rabbit horns, which cannot be seen, then forms, etc., are not like that. In response to this, examples of illusion are given, such as "form is like an illusion." The horses and elephants, etc., conjured by magicians are not inherently horses and elephants, etc., but they appear in the form of horses and elephants, etc.; that is the meaning. Bodhisattvas, great beings, who practice in this way do not see any dharma as truly arising, etc. As mentioned above, if one understands all dharmas to be like illusions, then one will not have concepts of arising and ceasing, etc., regarding conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. Why is that? Because the individual names of all dharmas are illusions; those discriminations are not true names that arise immediately, but are expressed as terms through complete imputation, etc. This shows the reason for not seeing truly. That is to say, the individual names and characteristics of dharmas are not truly existent, but are merely names and terms temporarily assigned by individual children; they are not existent in the ultimate sense. Sharadvatiputra, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he fully understands in this way: just as "the term Bodhisattva is merely a name," etc., is taught in order to clarify the aforementioned meaning. Sharadvatiputra, for example, just as the term "I, I" is merely a designation, but if one thoroughly examines it as it truly is, there is nothing to be found. Etc., this means that the various "selves" imagined by non-Buddhists are like the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas who realize no-self; Bodhisattvas, Bodhi, Buddhas, and

It shows that Prajñāpāramitā is invisible in the ultimate sense. Similarly, for other dharmas such as form and feeling, they should also be applied accordingly. Thus, a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva who practices Prajñāpāramitā, except for the wisdom of the Tathāgata, overcomes all the wisdom of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas by holding on to the emptiness of no object. Thus, realizing emptiness, if one practices Prajñāpāramitā through the gate of no object, it shows the benefit of obtaining special wisdom. Because the wisdom of worldly beings and Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas is based on attachment to reality. The wisdom of that Bodhisattva realizes no reality and no characteristics, so it overcomes them. Sharadvatiputra, suppose this Jambudvipa is full of monks like Sharadvatiputra and Maudgalyāyana, etc., this clearly shows the special wisdom of that Bodhisattva. Among the noble Śrāvakas, there is no sharper wisdom than Śāriputra and Maudgalyāyana, suppose Jambudvipa is filled with such people like a reed forest, etc., adding up all their wisdom is not comparable to a part of the wisdom of a Bodhisattva practicing Prajñāpāramitā, and cannot be compared by metaphors and analogies, etc. Why? Sharadvatiputra, this is because the wisdom of Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas abides for the sake of completely liberating all sentient beings from suffering, but the wisdom of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas is not like that. This shows the reason for becoming special wisdom. Because Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas focus on their own benefit, while Bodhisattvas focus on the benefit of sentient beings, so there is a difference. Sharadvatiputra, in addition, how much wisdom a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva who practices Prajñāpāramitā cultivates in one day can overcome the wisdom of all Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas.

With phrases such as "subduing and abiding," it shows the wisdom that surpasses the previous one. Similarly, all directions, starting with the east, should be applied analogously. With phrases such as "Sharadvatiputra asked," Shariputra, abiding in the ultimate truth, in order to answer the questions of doubt, the Blessed One, in the manner of conventional truth, showed the vast aspiration of the Bodhisattva. In order to show the particularly excellent, with phrases such as "Sharadvatiputra, what do you think?" although there is no difference in the ultimate truth, in the conventional truth, by the power of past aspirations, generating vast aspiration, there is a difference, showing this point. So, what is the vast aspiration? It is phrases such as "I will use the knowledge of the aspects of the path to benefit all sentient beings, and make all phenomena manifest, perfectly complete, and become enlightened in all aspects, and completely liberate all sentient beings from suffering." Sharadvatiputra, for example, like a firefly among insects, the example of fireflies is taken to illustrate the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and the example of the sun's orb is taken to illustrate the Bodhisattvas, thereby showing the difference between the vastness and smallness of aspiration and conduct. After saying this, the venerable Sharadvatiputra said to the Blessed One, in order to dispel the doubts of the Dharma-listening assembly, he asked about the state of abiding beyond the grounds of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, the state of obtaining the irreversible ground, and the state of abiding in the complete practice of the Bodhi path, these three states. Among them, with the phrase "transcending the grounds of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas," he asked about the state of abiding beyond the grounds of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. With the phrase "obtaining the irreversible Bodhisattva ground," he asked about the state of abiding in the irreversible ground. With the phrase "practicing the Bodhisattva path," he asked about the state of abiding in the complete practice of the Bodhi path. Among them, from "generating the initial mind" to "obtaining the irreversible Bodhisattva ground," it explains transcending the grounds of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, abiding in the irreversible ground,
