is a great harm. Here, it does not refer to the specific afflictions of the desire realm during the stage of forbearance in understanding the Dharma, because even the imprints of those afflictions have long been abandoned. In this state of non-conceptualization, the realization of the path of seeing, where great compassion and other qualities become manifest and genuinely accomplish the benefit of sentient beings, is the Samadhi of the Lion's Arising. In the path of meditation, there is the Samadhi of Sudden Transcendence. Wishing to express these, it is said, "Everything," and so on. Skillful means refers to skillful means, and relying on it is the means, namely, the Samadhi of the Lion's Arising and Sudden Transcendence. Regarding the wise person's dependent origination, one must contemplate from the perspectives of arising in accordance with the order and reversing the order. From "Conditioned by ignorance is action" to "as long as, conditioned by birth, aging, death, sorrow, suffering, mental distress, and turmoil arise," this is arising in accordance with the order. From "With the cessation of ignorance, action ceases" to "as long as birth and so forth cease," this is reversing the order. Among these, from the first dhyana up to the attainment of cessation, the nine in sequence are attained through arising in accordance with the order. Having arisen from the attainment of cessation, from the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception up to the first dhyana, the nine in sequence are attained through reversing the order. This is the Samadhi of the Lion's Arising. The Samadhi of Sudden Transcendence is: having entered the first dhyana, one enters the second, third, and fourth dhyanas, the sphere of infinite space, the sphere of infinite consciousness, the sphere of nothingness, the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, and the attainment of cessation. Having arisen from that, one enters the first dhyana. Having arisen from the first dhyana, one enters the attainment of cessation, the second dhyana, the attainment of cessation, the third dhyana, the attainment of cessation, the fourth dhyana, the attainment of cessation, the sphere of infinite space, the attainment of cessation, the sphere of nothingness, the attainment of cessation, the sphere of nothingness.

The sphere of nothingness, and cessation, and the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, and cessation. Having arisen from that, to the mind that has not entered into samadhi. From that cessation, enter into samadhi. Having arisen from that, abide in the mind that has not entered into samadhi. Having arisen from that, to the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception. From that, not having entered into samadhi. Then to the sphere of a little nothingness. From that, not having entered into samadhi. Having arisen from that, to the sphere of infinite consciousness. From that, not having entered into samadhi. From that, to the sphere of infinite space. From that, not having entered into samadhi. From that, to the fourth dhyana. From that, not having entered into samadhi. From that, to the third dhyana. From that, not having entered into samadhi. From that, to the second dhyana. From that, not having entered into samadhi. From that, to the first dhyana. From that, not having entered into samadhi. In this, from the beginning, going to the cause of abiding, in the second there are seventeen, and in the coming there are eighteen. This intention of the noble ones, other than this, the establishment made by Simhabhadra is not reasonable. In that, in the scriptures it is said: Then the majestic lion, having entered into samadhi, contemplates the law of dependent origination in accordance with the law, and also the law that is not in accordance with the law. In the nine samadhis with cessation, having gone and come in two ways, the consciousness belonging to desire, having held the boundary of non-samadhi, by entering into samadhi in a sudden leap, one and two, three, four and five, six and seven and having crossed eight, one does not enter into samadhi until cessation. Thus, from the beginning to the nine samadhis of cessation, having gone in order, and again reversing from one and so on, having made it with cessation, and going to the other eight, it goes in two ways. After that, desire is the meaning of going differently by making coming and going as the object of going in the boundary of non-samadhi that is used in all ways, that is, from non-samadhi to samadhi, and again from samadhi to non-samadhi. With the samadhi of sudden leap entering into samadhi, how does the mind that has not entered into samadhi enter into samadhi? If it is said that it turns from entering into samadhi, there is no contradiction with the saying of close observation. Whatever
