What should be abandoned is that which is associated with afflictions, because it is the cause of suffering in future lives, therefore it is the origin of suffering (Samudaya). Starting from generating the aspiration mind, by meditating on the path, one realizes the suchness, thereby the afflictions to be abandoned by the path of seeing, which is the origin of suffering and the suffering caused by it, these two will cease, this is called cessation (Nirodha). And this itself is the true nature of the suffering caused by the afflictions to be abandoned by the path of meditation. Later, in order to perfect the realization, it becomes one with emptiness, therefore it is practiced, so it is the path (Marga). And this itself is called the path because the practitioner, that is, consciousness, is the main thing. Thus, the nature of its four noble truths, that is, the nature of dependent origination and emptiness, its appearance is that at all times, the true nature is like this, there is no part, so it is completely cut off at the same time. The difference between clinging and emptiness will also become clear, so that all appearances will appear, that is, in any place, it will not be confused with different kinds of conceptual thoughts. Moreover, it is impossible for the conceptual thoughts that appear to be desired to arise at the same time, so it changes gradually. For example, for things with blue and other characteristics, people see lotuses, and similarly, in an instant, they experience different and non-different things, so they appear. For conceptual thoughts, how do they deeply enter and cling to the desired things, and then connect their nature? Although it is the nature of clinging to all appearances, it can reverse the fabricated appearances for the cessation of clear consciousness and so on. And, in order to reverse the fabricated inversion, and in order to eliminate the related obstacles, there is no other way than valid cognition ( प्रमाण ,pramāṇa,valid cognition), therefore, for the nature of forbearance of the unborn Dharma, for suffering, with the moment of Dharma-knowing forbearance, in addition to the reason why white mica is mistaken for silver, the fabricated appearance arises upside down, and what can completely eradicate the afflictions is the fifteen moments of Dharma-knowing and so on. The sixteenth moment is the object of the land of extreme joy in the path of seeing.

Therefore, regarding the classification of stream-enterers and others, it is said that in the collection of grounds, the first moment of the Extremely Joyful Ground belongs to the path of seeing, and from then on, the second moment and so on, immediately following the previous moment, all the moments up to the Buddha Ground belong to the path of cultivation. Moreover, for the path of seeing, the six conducts of desire in the desire realm, such as desire, anger, pride, ignorance, view of the aggregates as self, and clinging to extremes, and in the form and formless realms, the ten conducts of abandoning hatred in that way, a total of sixteen will be completely abandoned. Furthermore, the path of knowledge is explained as the path of seeing, and it is also said that the path of seeing of the sixteen moments of the path of seeing of the Bodhisattvas is divided into the eighth and so on. Regarding this, this person is not even aware of the contradiction between the former and the latter. Then, the fifteen moments starting from the second moment are also merely called the path of cultivation by those who have the nature of cultivation. If that is the case, then the nature of the stainless grounds and so on, on the path of cultivation, through the habitual tendencies to be abandoned by it, is not abandoned all at once, but is cultivated separately. So, for the fifteen moments, how is it reasonable? Although there are many such bad ways that are meaningless, the classifications of the arising of the twenty-two moments of mind are also all common names. Through the difference of time, how should the complete knowledge of the knowable, which has the characteristic of a complete result, be recognized? For example, just like the moments of the eight unfavorable conditions and so on. Furthermore, for the nature of the uninterrupted path of abandoning afflictions, seeing suffering and so on in the remaining eight is called forbearance. Here, the subsequent knowledge of forbearance, for the phenomena of the three realms, in an unspeakable state, through obtaining the second moment of separately knowing, transforms into wisdom, so that for the selflessness of those phenomena of the desire realm that previously had no wisdom and fell into it, it can be separately known. And here, that which is the same as this and becomes forbearance following it by its cause is called subsequent knowledge of forbearance.
