External conditioned phenomena, etc. The inner and outer body is transformed from the remaining elements and elements that have become one's own body. Moreover, the senses are not controlled by the mind of their own nature, and they are not external. Feelings and so on also have three aspects, divided into three aspects by the distinction of focusing on the body, namely pleasure, pain, and neither pleasure nor pain. Dharma is the dharma arising from the mind, namely virtuous, non-virtuous, and neutral dharmas. Following the body and so on means following the nature of the body and so on. Being together with the body and so on means being together with the perception of the body and so on. Non-discrimination means discriminating, this body is my body, whether it is impermanent or permanent, and so on. Moreover, following is through the yoga of non-discrimination without an object. Even for those who are constantly served, there is no joy in that particular practice. Following is knowing well through the yoga of that knowledge. Entering with the nature of non-forgetfulness and without the distraction of a guardian, not combining with mindfulness but possessing mindfulness, these are the benefits of diligence, wisdom, and memory. Abandoning means cutting off. World means the dharmas of the world, namely greed for gain, fame, happiness, and praise, which is desire. Displeasure is felt towards what is not gained, nameless, suffering, and slander. "Truly making this mind the main thing" means truly abandoning by destroying what is true or main. There are four types, namely, in order not to generate unwholesome dharmas that have not arisen, generate desire, diligently seek meaning and strive, and truly and well hold and truly and well establish with the mind. Similarly, it is also for the abandonment of those that have arisen. Similarly, it is also for the generation of wholesome dharmas that have not arisen. Similarly, generating desire for those that have arisen to remain and grow is armor.

One should act accordingly with diligence. To strive to accomplish is the diligence of application. To initiate diligence is the diligence without discouragement. To fully grasp and correctly establish with the mind is the diligence of means. Among these, to fully grasp is to elevate the mind from sinking. To correctly establish is to restrain from agitation and bring it into presence. Miraculous power refers to supramundane dharmas, and the bases of miraculous power are: for the sake of dwelling, there are four bases of miraculous power, namely, the samadhi of aspiration, the samadhi of diligence, the samadhi of mind, and the samadhi of investigation. Thus, in some places, the intense aspiration itself, through excellent diligence, will generate the samadhi of the nature of one-pointedness of mind. In some places, through the diligence of correct abandonment, one diligently abandons the unwholesome and generates the wholesome. In some places, the mind is completely purified through the equanimity of fully grasping quiescence and the signless. In some places, one thinks, "Have I engaged in subtle unwholesome actions? Or have I not?" and thus one closely attends with correct mindfulness. These are the samadhis of aspiration and so on. For these individuals, those who have long been bound by afflictions, initiate the diligence of correct abandonment to abandon latent tendencies, and thus they will possess the eight acts of abandonment, namely, aspiration, diligence, faith, pliancy, mindfulness, awareness, attention, and equanimity. Among these, the samadhi of mundane and supramundane states should be generated, and this is aspiration. All unwholesome dharmas will certainly be destroyed, and this is diligence. To have faith in the ability to possess qualities by virtue of possessing higher realizations is faith. From that, the one who goes before is pliancy. Among these, mindfulness is the aspect of awareness, and the dharma of insight is true wisdom. Among these, the mind manifests and fabricates.

"Pa" is the mind. "All afflictions" is the absence of afflictions, which is equanimity. One should cultivate the miraculous feet that possess the activity of abandoning samadhi such as desire. Abiding in solitude, abiding in detachment from desire, and completely transforming, therefore, solitude is through all afflictions. Detachment from desire is detachment from the desire for existence. Cessation is suffering. Complete abandonment is the abandonment of the entire body. By mastering the transformation of that, one is empowered, therefore it is empowerment, because one has the power to generate transcendent Dharma, namely the five: faith, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom. Because one is fully endowed with the miraculous feet, from seeing the signs, one generates certainty in the arising of further distinctions, therefore, even the realization of the Hearers of the Teacher will not give rise to complete conviction, that is his faculty of faith. Because faith is exceedingly superior, diligence and so forth are exceedingly superior, and from being superior, one cultivates the faculties, therefore it will increase in that way. Just as the Maras and so forth are difficult to overcome through distraction, and because they cannot be moved, one will obtain what is proclaimed as strength, from the strength of faith up to the strength of wisdom. In the path of seeing, because one realizes the meaning of things as they are, enlightenment is complete enlightenment. Its branches are seven, because they cause one to realize correctly, therefore they are branches, namely mindfulness, discrimination of Dharma, diligence, joy, pliancy, concentration, and equanimity. Following that, one cultivates the eightfold noble path, the eight branches are right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration. Among these, what is severed by the path of seeing is right view. Truly obtaining the other shore is right thought. Right speech is in order to obtain that right speech which truly observes everything. Right speech, action, and livelihood are the three in order as they are.
