All phenomena that hold their own characteristics, such as the various distinctions of beings in realms that are extremely transcendent, are all summarized as the five aggregates. The twelve sources, which are said to clearly understand and generate here, are the ten sources of sense faculties and objects, and the twelve sources of mind and phenomena. Among them, the mind source has seven entities, namely the consciousness of the six objects and the mind faculty. That is, whichever of the six consciousnesses has just ceased. The Dharma source, from the perspective of the Yogacara school, refers to the consciousness that focuses on all phenomena, is not unique, and is not shared with others. For the aggregate of feeling, the aggregate of perception, and the aggregate of formation, it is said to be the nature of the unconditioned, the unindicatable, and the unimpeded, as well as the six sources and the seeds of convention. Dividing the mind source into seven types is called the eighteen realms. From the eye realm, the form realm, and the eye consciousness realm, up to the mind realm and the mind consciousness realm, the so-called six-realm person here refers to the earth, water, fire, wind, space realm, and consciousness realm. Among them, the empty space inside the body is the space realm. In the Lankavatara Sutra, the collection of consciousness is divided into eight types, namely the five sense consciousnesses and the six consciousnesses, as well as the afflicted mind that arises from clinging to this as self and mine, and the seventh, and the nature of all the habits of the six themselves, that is, the places such as evil destinies, thereby severing the connection between the roots of virtue, completely destroying detachment on the ground of the realm, and the place of the six dharmas of birth and death themselves, that is, the places such as the abiding evil destinies, all universally enter here, which is the eighth, the alaya consciousness. It also, together with those other consciousnesses, contemplates the good and non-good of other dharmas, thereby increasing the seeds of the nature of the corresponding habits.

From the middle division, if one can obtain non-retrogression from things, just as the power that distinguishes the complete transformation of the continuum, then truly, later its fruit, whether joy or sorrow, will manifest. For example, the flowers and fruits of cotton seeds soaked in madder juice will also grow red, and the same will grow in the fruit. Just like in that sutra, in the *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra*, it is said for the sake of adapting to beings of different capacities: 'The taking consciousness is deep and extremely subtle, all seeds flow like a river, it is not permissible to grasp it as self, this I have not taught to children.' This is also the taking of the body in the connections between rebirths, that is, the maturation of previous karma and all the seeds of consciousness, this is what is called the ālaya-vijñāna. 'This I have not taught to children,' this is in reference to the particularities of the Vaibhāṣikas, because they would think that the mind is the self, therefore it was not taught to the Śrāvakayāna. Therefore, do not become one with a very firm ego of self regarding consciousness after hearing these things. For anyone who speaks of 'I' as consciousness in this way, their characteristic is that the designation of ālaya-vijñāna for the basis of all habitual tendencies, which is separated from uninterrupted objects and appearances, is unreasonable. Objects and appearances are not interdependent, because in any case, the object is uncertain, like a horse's horn. Regarding the directly perceived self-awareness that truly exists and its characteristics, it has already been analyzed before, so there is no point in elaborating on it here. The view of separating the seventh and eighth consciousnesses is merely established on the level of consciousness. 'The six faculties, six objects, and six consciousnesses,' these eighteen realms each hold their own characteristics. 'Here,' and so on, these words come from the top, its category is completely separated, meaning the top is moderate. Faith is the definitive understanding that has not yet arisen. 'All' in 'here' refers to manifestation. Omniscient.
