Is there something to be established by the sign itself of the three modes? Or, if refutation is established and related to the property of the subject, then even those who see the other shore will hold the sign of direct perception, then the absence of the nature of the conventional will be apprehended. Because those who see the other shore do not experience direct perception accustomed to the nature of things. Then, if the inference that will be explained harms the nature of blue, etc., how can they be said to be direct perception? It does not harm the nature of conventional things, because it is slightly superimposed on the object to be established, or only the aspect of truth is to be removed. For the meaning of the object of conventional direct perception, like dreams, etc., it is determined to be conventional. Children's superimposition on the ultimate nature, etc., will be harmed by inference, but not for the terms of the meaning of seeing, etc. Whatever is not mistaken, inference will not harm that direct perception, but harm is the superimposition of truth, etc. Because it is said that there is no non-mistakenness for it, it will not be excessive to slander direct perception. Moreover, establishing that all dharmas are selfless, that is, whatever arises from dependent origination is empty of its own nature in the ultimate sense, like illusion. The things that arise from dependent origination and become the place of dispute are also, this is the reason of self-nature. Moreover, because it is famous for cowherds, etc., there is no unestablished subject. From the non-apprehension of what can be apprehended, wherever it is truly apprehended, that is its result, this is from the gate of concomitance. Or, if the other causes with the power of existence do not exist, then what does not arise, that is its result, this is from the gate of negation. Establishing conventional cause and effect things, this is the conventional reason. For the previously existing dharma, the agent itself and the oneness of the agents of the activities are to be examined. What arises from the dependent origination of the aggregation of causes and conditions is called dharma. The dharma of arising obtains its own nature by relying on other dharmas.

That was said by the Bhagavan: "Because this exists, this arises, and because this is born, this is born," which is not contradictory, because it exists on the side of agreement. It is also not uncertain, because the birth of ultimate reality is unreasonable, and non-combination is reasonable. Because in ultimate reality, the entities of cause and effect are not established. Non-establishment is because in ultimate reality, it is unreasonable to combine the self-nature of knowledge with the holding of the self. Self-cognizing consciousnesses are also merely self-cognizing, therefore they do not apprehend any prior or subsequent entities, because they are merely nominally established as the same continuum, so they are not entities. Also, entities with different causes do not recognize each other. And, at the time of the object, it also prevents those who wish to manifest as cause and effect. If it is said that by the gradually arising mind, one experiences prior and subsequent entities, and then after that, with a mind of various consciousnesses, one subsequently connects them, through the way of gathering the previous entities into a special way, that is precisely the understanding of prior and subsequent entities, and the understanding of the entities of cause and effect. Then, that would become the nature of conventional reality, merely knowing one's own essence at the time of universal experience. Because there is no distinction made here, therefore, on that basis, the entities of cause and effect are not established by direct perception. Therefore, inference is also non-existent. Because if it is said, how can the effect see the entity of its own cause's moment in an instant, and if it does not see that, then it also sees all the various momentary entities that exist simultaneously with its cause's moment, and if it does not see that, then it is not its cause, because it would become its cause. The entities of cause and effect of any continuum are unreasonable, because this is the occasion for establishing the entities of cause and effect of ultimate reality. Other than the momentary, the cause of ultimate reality is not established. The permanent thing does not exist in the entities of cause and effect, therefore it cannot be apprehended simultaneously by direct perception, so for the happiness of the result of the self and Ishvara, etc., following is not established.
