It is the meaning of ground. Not always being afraid, because naturally entering into spontaneous accomplishment, fear will not always arise in the mind. Spontaneous accomplishment is the very holding of naturally entering, that is its meaning. Furthermore, if it is not spontaneously accomplished, the mind will become distracted. As it is said in the Ornament of the Sutras: 'With the object, the mind is definitely bound, one should not let it be constantly distracted. Having quickly realized the distraction, one should also gather it separately with this. In each separate gathering, the mind is gathered together, the wise one, from above to above, if one sees the qualities of samadhi, with this one makes the mind happy, if one sees the faults of distraction, with this joy one makes it peaceful. Greed, displeasure, and so on arise, likewise one should make them peaceful, with this the manifest intention, is the very nature of the mind abiding, the yogi who is accustomed to this, with this obtains the unmade manifest realization.' Thus, abiding in peace is perfected. This "this" refers to, as it was said before, understanding the distinction between the ultimate conventional and ultimate samadhi. This "this" refers to the wisdom that is completely and thoroughly in accordance with that samadhi. This "this" is the instruction, that is, by the qualities of correctly combining abiding in peace and wisdom with each other. The mind is the suchness of the selflessness of all dharmas, and everything that turns away from that is called distraction. The ultimate oneness of suchness, even though it is momentary destruction in the conventional, is also equipoise. Therefore, there is no contradiction between abiding in peace and insight. The nature of turning away from focusing on an object that is not the suchness, by generating single-pointedness of mind and correct wisdom by combining them with each other, becomes one taste when it reaches the ultimate. Therefore, here, abiding in the samadhi of the oneness of the conventional and ultimate nature of abiding in peace and wisdom, will not become the same here, this "this" is the instruction and subsequent teaching of this. The lineage of instruction is the subsequent teaching. Thus, the nature of the first bodhicitta and the dharma that is gathered by it, the perfection of wisdom, is the conventional.

I do not deviate from the ultimate truth, and the instruction for individually accomplishing through action without object of reference is the instruction for practice. Here, it is the meaning of summarizing. For those who make practice the essence, it is not difficult to attain the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. And if that practice is summarized, it is abiding in the means of cultivating the mind of enlightenment and generosity, etc. Among these, the mind of enlightenment is the nature of emptiness and compassion. Regarding the five aggregates, as long as one conceptually distinguishes between things and non-things, all of that is the reversed proliferation of conceptuality. The absence of proliferation is the emptiness of the dharmadhatu. Saying emptiness is because by thoroughly refuting all imputations, the essence of suchness becomes clearly manifest in the minds of those to be tamed. Therefore, here, for what is to be expressed, the words emptiness and so forth are closely posited, because one focuses on the essence of suchness that is free from all imputations. As it is said in the Bhagavati Saptaśatikā Prajñāpāramitā: "Bhagavan, not abiding anywhere at all is the cultivation of the Perfection of Wisdom. Not abiding in any dharma is neither abiding nor not abiding. Not thinking of any dharma, nor knowing, only not thinking of anything, that is nirvana, unborn, Perfection of Wisdom, dharmadhatu, the realm of non-action, inseparable from this, only with this wisdom is the wisdom of the Buddhas, through objectless yoga." And also from the same, "Bhagavan, cultivating the Perfection of Wisdom, there is no separate abiding because of focusing on any dharma. No dharma is destroyed or arises. Bhagavan, for the unborn, there is no decrease or increase." And also in the Sutra of Not Focusing on All Dharmas: "From where one individually understands, for any dharma, one does not make it one or many, there is no change, Bhagavan, know the non-conceptual truth individually." The noble Nagarjuna also said: "All dharmas are without abiding and peaceful, this meaning should be constantly cultivated. Non-abiding and
