How and where do things not exist? It is thought that "my things do not exist even in the conventional sense." Dharma refers to that which possesses the five aggregates, etc., and not truly seeing it is because it is without self-nature in the ultimate sense. A Bodhisattva not observing means that the wisdom of selflessness regarding persons, not observing the aggregates, etc., is the wisdom of selflessness regarding phenomena. These two are Prajnaparamita, and that Prajnaparamita is also empty of self-nature in the ultimate sense, which is non-observation. Such Prajnaparamita, some go alone to a solitary place, and arise from definitely understanding the meaning of the scriptures, that is wisdom born from hearing. Likewise, since there is no doubt anywhere, the reasoning that arises from the power of recollection, etc., that is wisdom born from thinking. After they have eliminated doubt, they accept and obtain Samadhi and practice, that is wisdom born from meditation. Among these, wanting to show the first two, therefore it is said "my," etc. The Dharma of a Bodhisattva is the five aggregates, etc., of inner self-nature. Not understanding means not obtaining, because it is obstructed by valid cognition. Wanting to show the obstruction to it, therefore it is said "not observing," obstructed by non-observation arising from scripture, is not truly seeing. Obstructing with recollection, etc., with this recollection not observing, this is explaining wisdom born from hearing. The reasoning of not truly seeing is the nature of thinking. Speaking of reasoning, that which is nothing at all. "Here" means not existing anywhere in the ultimate sense. In the conventional sense, instructing to make an intention, therefore showing following the instructions, is showing following, that is what is thought. That which skillfully enters into perfect quiescence, together with the wisdom of observation, that is view, intelligence, wisdom, light, and Vipassana. Those two yoked together are the wisdom of the nature of meditation, wanting to show it, therefore it is said "however," etc., if entering into the ultimate, that is "if." "Like this" and "that my."

īs, etc., that is to say, saying, etc., because it is close to the present, so one should know that saying means saying, etc. The extensive explanation here is that it is shown by the characteristic of the wisdom of the nature of hearing. What is called near to showing is that it will be manifestly observed by the characteristic of the wisdom of the nature of thinking, which is the remaining part. Here, those who desire liberation, with a manifest characteristic of faith in the merits of samadhi, from that faith will arise desire, from that power will arise diligence, and from that power will arise the tempering of body and mind. Therefore, it will not allow laziness to enter, and will abide near the correct object with mindfulness. Therefore, with awareness, therefore, remembering the qualities of joyful things such as the Buddha, therefore, one will not enter with contempt into the mind that aims at samadhi in the meaning of how one has heard and thought, because it is bound by that. Completely unyielding and unchanging, even if one enters constantly, one will not become discouraged, because one has prevented going elsewhere. Because the nature is wavering, if one is distracted and goes elsewhere, one should quickly know, and even if one gathers it again, it will not be scattered. Completely unyielding, because the nature of the mind that is to be shown is reasonable, therefore, before scattering to other places, there is no fatigue in making it more and more detailed. One will not be outwardly distracted, because even in samadhi one can remain in equanimity. How can one make the mind rejoice in that? Because one has seen the merits of samadhi. Destroying and not scattering outwards means not being distracted by that joy and happiness, because one has seen the faults of scattering, and the faults are the sufferings of samsara. Not being afraid means not being afraid of the arising of greed and displeasure, etc. How is it? It is destroying that, because one has seen the faults of scattering. Completely not afraid, because the mind's nature is without fault, and in order to enter naturally, one strives in fabrication, and that will not make one afraid.
