Sounds, images, streams, and clouds have twenty-two forms. The so-called stream is the continuation of a river. Therefore, by being equal to the end of the third bodhicitta, it should be included within. The characteristic of seeking enlightenment for the sake of being together with the initial aspiration is like the earth, because it is the basis for generating the collection of all the Buddha's teachings. Being together with thought is like pure gold, because it will not change anywhere later. Being together with the superior intention that distinguishes from thought, and ripening together with practice, is like the waxing moon of the white side, because it generates and obtains the increase of virtues. The superior intention that is together with practice is like fire, because it goes to its special characteristics, like fire depends on the characteristics of wood. Being together with the perfection of generosity is like a great treasure, because it satisfies limitless beings with the enjoyment of Dharma and material possessions, and is inexhaustible. Being together with the perfection of discipline is like the source of jewels, because it increases all the precious qualities and is born in the source of jewels. Being together with the perfection of patience is like the ocean, because even if all unpleasant things befall it, it will not be disturbed. Being together with the perfection of diligence is like a vajra, for the sake of the teachings and fearlessness. Being together with the perfection of meditation is like a mountain, unmoving and undistracted. Being together with the perfection of wisdom is like the king of medicine, because it pacifies all diseases of obscuration. Being together with the perfection of skillful means, and being together with the immeasurable, is like a great spiritual friend, because it does not abandon the benefit of beings in all circumstances. Being together with the perfection of aspiration, and with

One who possesses clairvoyance is like a wish-fulfilling jewel, for it multiplies the fruit according to one's desire. Being united with the perfection of power, and with the objects of attraction characterized by generosity, sweet speech, beneficial action, and consistency, is like the sun, for it ripens the crops of those to be tamed. Among these, generosity is the giving of inner and outer resources. Sweet speech is the giving of the Dharma of this world and beyond. Beneficial action is causing others to truly receive from the Dharma. Consistency is that one follows after having caused others to truly receive, these are the means of gathering beings. Being united with the perfection of wisdom is like the soft and pleasant sound of a Gandharva, for it teaches the Dharma desired by those to be tamed. One who possesses clairvoyance is like a king, for he constantly abides in the benefit of others through power, which is the cause of entering. The king's iron hook prevents beings from falling from the wrong path. Similarly, the iron hook of individual reliance of a Bodhisattva is: rely on the meaning, not on the letter; being skilled in Sanskrit and so on is the path. Rely on the reasoning of the Dharma, whatever Dharma is spoken of in this way is not empty, is the path. Rely on the wisdom of knowledge arising from meditation, the wisdom of hearing and thinking through consciousness is the path. Rely on the sutras of definitive meaning, the sutras of provisional meaning are the path, these are the four reliances. Definitive meaning is that all the Dharmas determined by the Blessed Ones are the nature of emptiness, whatever that meaning is, is just so. Being united with the accumulation of merit and wisdom is like a treasury, for it is the storehouse of many accumulations of merit and wisdom. Being united with the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment is like a great royal road, for all noble beings have gone and followed.

Accompanied by loving-kindness and insight, it is like a mount, not falling into the pitfalls of samsara and nirvana, thus proceeding in bliss. Accompanied by retention and fearlessness, it is like a treasure, capable of storing, being inexhaustible, arising, and conforming to the Dharma, thus holding the meaning of heard and unheard teachings, and manifesting inexhaustible teachings. Corresponding to the teachings of "all conditioned things are impermanent," "all contaminated things are suffering," "all phenomena are without self," and "nirvana is peace," it is like a beautiful musical sound, enabling those who desire liberation to hear pleasant sounds. Accompanied by the joy of obtaining the forbearance of no origination of phenomena, and the deeds of the bodhisattvas' fruition being inseparable, thus accompanied by the one vehicle path, it is like the flow of a river, flowing naturally. Tushita and other places, accompanied by those skilled in the means of fully showing all abodes, and accompanied by the Dharmakaya, it is like a cloud, capable of entering into the benefit of all sentient beings, like a cloud perfecting the vessel world. These twenty-two types of bodhicitta come from the Sutra of Inexhaustible Wisdom, namely, in the five immeasurables, things, correct knowledge, non-reliance, and special speech, there are four each; secondly, in the three of accumulation, quiescence, and overpowering with the power of retention, there are two each; as well as the five superknowledges; the limbs of enlightenment; the initial ten bodhicittas; and the skillful means arising from being accompanied by the one vehicle path, altogether eighty inexhaustibles are explained. Here, the thoughts associated with conjunction are stated in reverse, because it is possible in both cases. Therefore, the noble Asanga, by explaining the conjunction of wishes in mutual transmission, proves that the fifteenth bodhicitta is intermediate and can manifest as the Bhagavan, which is not contradictory in any way. Among them, the first three bodhicittas are the wisdom of the nature of hearing and thinking, which is the part of liberation in reaching the ultimate state.
