Because knowing is primary, it is called the path. Thus, the aspect of emptiness of dependent arising, which is the nature of the four truths, is such that everything is as it is, without parts, so it can be completely cut off at once. The difference between grasping and emptiness also appears as it is, so all aspects manifest, and in that place, it is not mixed with conceptualizations of dissimilar kinds. Also, conceptualizations of manifest desire, etc., cannot arise all at once, so they change in sequence. For example, with regard to the distinctions of blue moving things, etc., a person sees a blue lotus, and in the same way, in an instant, one experiences non-other and other non-other, etc., so when manifesting, how do conceptualizations intensely enter and grasp manifest desire, and what are the natures that subsequently connect. Although it is the grasping of the nature of all aspects, it is also able to reverse any superimposed aspects such as the cessation of the manifestation of consciousness. Only by this can one eliminate the purpose of removing superimposition, and sever the obstructions that are subsequently connected. There is no other method than valid cognition. Thus, the suffering of the nature of forbearance of the unborn dharma, other than the moment of the forbearance of knowing the dharma, due to the reason of mistaking a white blemish for silver, the afflictions that intensely arise in a reversed manner of superimposed aspects, are the suffering of the one who eliminates them, the fifteen moments of knowing the dharma, etc., and the sixteenth moment, which is the object of the path of seeing, the extremely joyful ground. By this, the aspects of establishing the stream-enterer, etc., are established. In that place, in the collection of grounds by Good Lion, the first moment of the extremely joyful ground is the path of seeing, and the second moment, etc., counting from the moment immediately before that, are said to be the path of meditation up to the ground of Buddhahood. In that place, there are six kinds of conduct in the desire realm: desire, anger, pride, ignorance, view of the aggregates, and view of extremes. And the conduct in the form and formless realms, thus there are ten kinds because of abandoning anger. Thus, the sixteen will be intensely abandoned.

Understanding the path is explained in various ways in the path of seeing. It is also said that the path of seeing of the sixteen moments of the path of seeing of the Bodhisattvas is established as the eighth, etc. Here, this person does not even understand the contradiction between the former and the latter. Furthermore, the fifteen moments starting from the second, those with the nature of meditation, when merely saying "it is the path of meditation," if that is the case, the nature of the stainless lands, etc., when meditating on the path, the latent tendencies to be abandoned by it have been abandoned, not just once, but individually accomplished, then how are the fifteen moments suitable? Although there are many such bad statements, they are meaningless. However, the distinctions of the arising of the twenty-two moments of mind, etc., are all conventional truths. Due to the difference of time, the knowable, which is the characteristic of the complete fruition, is fully understood as it is, and should be understood as such. For example, the moments of the eight non-freedoms, etc. Here, those with the nature of the uninterrupted path of abandoning afflictions, in the other eight, seeing suffering, etc., is called forbearance. Here, by subsequent knowledge of forbearance, in the phenomena of the three realms, in the unspeakable, individually knowing, obtaining the second moment, transforming into wisdom, previously in the desire realm without wisdom and falling into those phenomena, individually knowing no self-nature. Here, being the same as it, and its continuum, becoming forbearance after it, is called subsequent knowledge of forbearance. The nature of the path of liberation, by which it is freed from afflictions, and the one who directly realizes it, is the eight subsequent Dharma knowledges. The other eight that accompany it, by certain knowledge, making near-side distinctions elsewhere, are said elsewhere to be subsequent Dharma knowledges. In this state, only the manifestation and the object of perception are established as direct realization. Here, after forbearance, the wisdom directly realized by liberation from afflictions, and the forbearance that accompanies it, in the discriminating wisdom, is also said elsewhere to be direct realization. That is the near side.
