It should be properly placed in this way. Similarly, for those that have already arisen (unwholesome dharmas), they should also be abandoned. Similarly, for those wholesome dharmas that have not yet arisen, they should also be generated. Similarly, for those that have already arisen (wholesome dharmas), in order to maintain and increase them, generating the desire, this is to act in this way with armor-like diligence. Striving to accomplish what is sought is the diligence of application. Initiating diligence is the diligence without discouragement. Completely holding and properly placing with the mind is the diligence of means. Among these, completely holding is to elevate the mind from sinking. Properly placing is to gather and bring forth from agitation. Miraculous power refers to the feet of miraculous power for the transcendental dharmas. For the sake of abiding, there are four feet of miraculous power: the samadhi of desire, the samadhi of diligence, the samadhi of mind, and the samadhi of contemplation. Thus, in some cases, merely with strong desire, one can combine well and generate the samadhi with the characteristic of one-pointedness of mind. In some cases, through the diligence of correct abandonment, one combines to abandon the unwholesome and generate the wholesome. In some cases, through the equanimity and signlessness of completely holding calm abiding, one completely subdues the mind. In some cases, one thinks, "Am I always practicing subtle unwholesomeness?", thereby observing oneself, which is correct attention. These are the samadhis of desire and so on. For these beings who have already arisen and have long been entangled by afflictions, initiating the diligence of correct abandonment to abandon the latent tendencies, thereby possessing the eight practices of abandonment, namely: desire, diligence, faith, pliancy, mindfulness, awareness, attention, and equanimity. Among these, in order to generate the samadhi of the mundane and supramundane, this is desire. Certainly destroying all unwholesome dharmas is diligence. For higher realizations,

Having the merit of trust, believing through ability is faith. This is what those who have previously practiced have greatly trained in. Here, mindfulness is on the side of wisdom, and insight is correct wisdom. Here, the manifestation of mind is attention. The absence of any afflictions is equanimity, cultivating the miraculous foot that possesses the action of abandoning samadhi, such as desire. Abiding in solitude, abiding in detachment, transforming through complete abandonment. Among these, solitude is the absence of afflictions. Detachment is the absence of desire for existence. Cessation is suffering. Complete abandonment is the complete abandonment of the body. Because one has mastery over its complete transformation, it is a faculty, because one gains mastery in generating transcendental Dharma, there are five: faith, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, and wisdom. Because one is fully endowed with the miraculous feet, seeing the signs, one generates certainty in the arising of superior qualities, therefore, even the realization of the hearers of the Teacher does not give rise to complete trust, this is the root of their faith, because faith is superior, so are diligence and so on, from superiority one cultivates the root, so it grows in this way. Just as demons and others are difficult to conquer through distraction, and because they cannot be moved, they are proclaimed as strength, obtaining the strength of faith up to the strength of wisdom. In the path of seeing, understanding the true meaning as it is, therefore, enlightenment is perfect enlightenment. Its limbs are seven, for the sake of correct understanding, they are limbs, namely mindfulness, discrimination of Dharma, diligence, joy, tranquility, samadhi, and equanimity. After that, one cultivates the eightfold noble path, the eight limbs are right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right samadhi. Among these, with the path of seeing, completely

Everything is right view. Completely attaining the other shore is right thought. Right speech is for the sake of attaining that speech which is completely and thoroughly viewed. Right speech, the limit of action, and livelihood, etc., just as the order is, these three arise from correct meditation, which is the speech of decisive wisdom, the discipline of not doing what should not be done, and seeking Dharma robes, etc., with measured wisdom, which is practice and protection. Through these, the thirty-seven factors of mindfulness and so forth have been completely explained in one direction. Knowing cessation and non-arising is a branch of enlightenment, and following along refers to the branch of enlightenment. Moreover, Bodhisattvas, in order to seek all Dharmas in every way, and in order to generate the cause of benefiting all sentient beings, gather the yoga of non-objectification, in the sense of individually observing the essence, into the Bodhicitta that is inseparable from emptiness and compassion, and practice it. Through these, thus liberated from the obscuration of illusion, as the antidote to obscuration, there are eight liberations. Among them, with respect to things, whatever of the three, pure and impure, the yogi desires to engage in, will be praised. As an antidote to desire and so forth, focusing on the internal hair and so forth and entering into the samadhi of equipoise, and afterwards focusing on various external things in this way, one will enter into the samadhi of the first dhyana. As a praise of the ground of the first dhyana, as an antidote to desire, is the second dhyana. Its expression is "one with form sees form," that is, focusing on the internal nature of form and so forth, one with form focuses on the external form and so forth and sees form, meaning one sees with the mind of faith and illusion. In some cases, the internal nature is not focused on, but only focusing on various external things, one will enter into the samadhi of the first or second dhyana as before. Its expression is that one with the thought of the internal nature being formless towards the external
