Thus he acts. Because he knows that defilements are exhausted, he teaches the Dharma in accordance with sentient beings. Through his superknowledges, for the sake of sentient beings, whatever objects he wishes to take, he desires to take them separately. There, he is not tainted by attachment to pleasure and pain, nor is he stained by anger. This is the activity of praising the teachings of the Buddhas of the ten directions, and so on. Furthermore, what are the limbs of enlightenment of a Bodhisattva? They are the six perfections, and from the four meditations up to the unshared qualities of a Buddha. If one practices these, since the three spheres are pure, one does not fixate on them, and one dedicates them entirely to perfect and complete enlightenment for oneself, and to perfect and complete enlightenment for the supreme benefit of all sentient beings. If these are the qualities of a Bodhisattva, then what are the qualities of a Buddha? If through these one attains perfect and complete enlightenment in all aspects of omniscience, and all connections of habitual tendencies are abandoned, and with the wisdom of a single moment, one perfectly and completely awakens to all phenomena, this itself is the quality of a Buddha. Such is not the quality of a Bodhisattva. This is the activity of praising the limbs of enlightenment. Although all phenomena are empty of their own characteristics, nevertheless, actions exist, and their results also exist. Sentient beings do not understand that phenomena are empty of their own characteristics. Because they do not understand, they impute phenomena and persons, and manifestly engage in and cultivate virtuous and non-virtuous actions, thereby going to the three lower realms, while practicing well leads to birth as gods and humans. Furthermore, some, having fully understood the absence of self in persons and phenomena, thereby abandon the happy and unhappy migrations and attain Nirvana. The Bodhisattva, having fully perfected the virtuous qualities such as the perfections, gradually attains the ten bhumis, and then with the wisdom of a single moment, perfectly and completely awakens to all phenomena, becoming a Buddha, a Bhagavan. This is praising the fact that the connection between actions and results is not in vain.

This is the activity of. A Bodhisattva, because of truth, does not pass away from sorrow because he sees the truth. Although it is like that, the four truths are equal. Why? Because they are equal to suchness and have no essence, they have no object of any dharma and do not become arrogant with the name of truth. Therefore, seeing all dharmas as emptiness, entering into the faultless, and abiding in the ground of lineage, generating samadhi and, immeasurable and, formless absorption. He abides here in the place of calm abiding, and completely knows suffering. He abandons the origin, realizes cessation, and meditates on the path, but does not generate a mind focused on the truth. Only with the mind of aspiring to enlightenment, he sees all dharmas empty of their own characteristics. He sees all the dharmas of insight as emptiness, and also teaches the Dharma with skillful means. This is the activity of rejoicing in seeing the four truths. Asked by Maitreya. World Honored One, if all dharmas are of the nature of non-existence, how should a Bodhisattva train from form to the dharmas of the Buddha? The World Honored One said: It is only a name. Question: The reality of the sign of action, the name of non-reality, is only a name. Action is discrimination, its sign is the object, in what is it like this, this is form, this is feeling, and so on until these are the dharmas of the Buddha, so consider. The World Honored One said: The one who is only a name is the one who is suddenly established, this is form, etc., because the names are different, knowing the meaning of the name is not. Therefore, the meaning of sound is false, it is only conventional truth, not reality. Question: The nature of form is only conventional truth, is the nature of form obtainable? The World Honored One said: It has no birth and death, therefore it has no self-nature. Also asked the World Honored One, in all of everything, the self-nature of form, etc., until the Buddha Dharma
