Ananda, therefore, from "therefore" to "this is my instruction" is the first entrustment. Here, why is there the word "Tathagata's blessing"? Because the meaning is significant. There are many obstacles to the Blessed One's mother, so it is shown that without the Buddha's blessing, even writing is not possible. The meaning of "this is my instruction" is that this is my entrustment, just like hearing this and so on, without interruption, you should also do so. Why? The meaning of "why" is, what is the necessity of completely entrusting it? Therefore, it is said "therefore, from this Prajnaparamita" and so on. "Why" and so on is the opening of the second entrustment. "Dwelling in this" refers to this body. "Similarly" refers to these such as joy. After making these openings, in order to completely entrust, it is said "Ananda" and so on. Saying "completely entrust" two or three times means truly entrusting. "Subsequently completely entrust" means completely entrusting in agreement. How to completely entrust? Therefore, it is said "by all means" and so on. "Inferior person" refers to a disrespectful person. Why should one be joyful and respectful towards this? Therefore, it is said "Ananda, whoever is Prajnaparamita" to "one should know to practice in front of the Tathagata." In order to fully clarify the Blessed One's mother, the compiler said "Blessed One" and so on. "Thus" refers to the Prajnaparamita Sutra. "Bestowed teachings" means said. "Blessed One" refers to the teacher. "Rejoicing in the benefit of others" refers to the Tathagata. "Supremely accomplishing the benefit of others" refers to what is taught by the Blessed One. Therefore, it is said "rejoicing," meaning that one is happy because of teaching the unsurpassed Dharma. What did the listener do? Therefore, it is said "expressed praise for the words spoken by the Blessed One." Praise

That which is manifestly related to the past is karma and its accompaniment. Some are inclined towards desire, and some are inclined towards joy. The object of that is the karma here, and that karma is the teaching spoken by the Blessed One. Who are the listeners? It is said to be Bodhisattvas, Mahasattvas, and so on. The world is the assembly of sentient beings. The listeners are also the assembly of humans because it is the situation of Rajagriha (Royal City). Because it cuts off the distinctions by this alone, it is specifically said to be with gods, humans, asuras, gandharvas, etc. In short, it is the world of Bodhisattvas, etc., and gods, etc. The chapter on entrusting is the chapter on entrusting. Free from various stains of delusion, abandoning the grasping and the grasped. Whatever beings are of one taste in that suchness, that is extremely beautiful. The wise one who is liberated from conceptualization, the Prajnaparamita, that is the mind of the Bodhisattva. That itself, the perfectly pure liberated one, the hero, is called the Tathagata. Among them, in what is explained in the eight Abhisamayas and the eight thousand verses, the cause and the sutra are distinguished by myself. By the fruit of the accumulation of merit obtained, may it increase and liberate as appropriate. May I also obtain the power to continuously perform various activities. As long as the great essence of the lamp exists here, light will arise in the minds of beings. Manifesting incomparable qualities, it is entirely immaculate praise. May the words of Gautama dispel the darkness of existence. A summary of the Prajnaparamita, of the eight hundred and ten millions, the difficult commentary called Essence, these clear words are made by me. The difficult commentary on the Holy Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, called Essence, is completed, written by the King's teacher, the great scholar Ratnakara Shanti. Translated by Pandit Subhutishanti and translator Shakya Lodrö. Eighth Chapter: Explaining the Manifestly Perfect Enlightenment of the Dharmakaya (Body of Dharma).
