That is to say, the most excellent of all beings, such as gods and humans, is the Tathagata, hence he is called a lion. His Dharma fulfills all wishes and terrifies all other heretical debaters, hence it is called the lion's roar. Like the lion's banner. The one who proclaims this is the teacher. Its essence is Suchness. Therefore, the wisdom of the Bhagavan is the perfection of wisdom to be traversed, hence it should be understood as the meaning of reaching the other shore. This is also the lion's roar, proclaiming twenty-seven activities, the details of which can be found in the Great Perfection of Wisdom Sutra. In this regard, it is said in the scriptures: benefiting beings with peaceful actions, establishing the four means of gathering, as well as all afflictive obscurations, the realization of purification and liberation, the true benefit of sentient beings, the meaning and the six perfections, the emptiness of the Buddha's path and self-nature, the two inexhaustible emptinesses, expression and no sign, no object of focus, the maturation of sentient beings, the path of the Bodhisattva and the cessation of attachment, the attainment of enlightenment and the Buddha-field, purity and definitive meaning, the immeasurable benefit of sentient beings, the qualities such as the basis of the Buddha, the activities of the limbs of enlightenment, not wasting and seeing the truth, the abandonment of inverted views, the reason for their groundlessness, purification and accumulation of merit, on conditioned and unconditioned phenomena, not being able to fully know the difference, and placing in Nirvana, these are the activities of the Dharmakaya, considered to have twenty-seven aspects. Thus it is said, the emanation body of the Bhagavan can pacify the hellfire of hell beings, thus speaking the Dharma, similarly also giving alms of one's own blood etc. to animals, similarly also giving food and drink etc. to pretas, and teaching them the Dharma, causing faith and reverence to arise in their minds, thereby dying and transmigrating from their own path and being born into gods and humans. To the gods, he also teaches the Dharma that makes them believe in and rejoice in the lesser vehicle, causing them to be reborn as humans, and guiding them towards the Bodhi of the Hearers and the Solitary Buddhas.

This, which abides until enlightenment, is the activity of pacifying beings. Furthermore, whatever teaches people the giving of inner and outer possessions, as well as the giving of Dharma that is worldly and beyond worldly, as well as sweet words, practical meaning, and consistent meaning, this is the activity of establishing the objects of gathering. All-encompassing contamination is the obscuration of afflictions and the obscuration of knowledge. The disappearance of these two is complete purification. Also, because of knowing the selflessness of persons and phenomena, this is the conventional truth. In the ultimate truth, there is nothing other than the realm of Dharma, this is the activity of establishing the knowledge of all-encompassing contamination and complete purification. Just as a magician makes the world happy with various things such as food and drink, but it is not the case that one knows that all these worldly things are non-existent. Whatever practices the perfection of wisdom, one does not see even a little apart from the realm of Dharma, it is not sentient beings, nor is it what is designated as sentient beings. Because all phenomena are also selfless. This is the activity of establishing the essence of suchness for the sake of sentient beings. That essence also gives, and also engages others in giving, and speaks praise of giving. Whatever others give, one speaks praise of those and rejoices. Similarly, one should also speak of oneself keeping the precepts, etc., this is the activity of establishing the six perfections. One also properly takes up and enters the path of the ten virtuous actions, and one also begins from the five training precepts, up to the completion of the thirty-two major marks of a great person and the eighty minor marks, this is the activity of establishing the path to Buddhahood. Here, when a Bodhisattva teaches all sentient beings the Dharma that perfects the perfections, he also teaches that the result of those three circles being pure is also empty of inherent nature, those who meditate on them in that way will become even more excellent, therefore those empty
