These are the practices based on reliance and generosity, etc. The three causes of faith, skillful in means, are what is spoken from "Bhagavan" etc., up to "Venerable Subhuti." "Is it possible?" is an indirect question. Hearing is from the words. Realization is from the meaning. Thinking is remembering in the future. Generation is the time of thinking. In meditation, it is taken closely to stabilize the mind. "This" means appearing separately. "Is it here?" means in the appearance. "By this" means by appearing separately. "Sign" means representing. For example, having the dewlap of a cow, etc. "Mark" is an artificial representation, for example, having a cow, a vase, etc. "Characteristic" is what is represented by its own nature, for example, being a white cow, etc. Teaching is for others. "Hearing" is from other places. The Bhagavan taught: Subhuti, it is not like that, etc., is the answer. Skandhas, etc., refer to the skandhas, etc. Or the meaning from the form skandha to the dharma source. Why is that? Because it is said that all dharmas are of the nature of emptiness. And from where does that come? Because they do not have their own nature, so it is considered the nature of imputed dharmas. Furthermore, what is called non-existence means non-existence in other places, that is because it is the ultimate truth. Precisely because of that, why is that? is the question. Skandhas, etc., are the answer. The nature of skandhas, etc., is the nature of consciousness, that is, completely and universally imputed in the nature of skandhas, etc., is emptiness. Among them, by that emptiness, it is only consciousness, that is the Prajnaparamita. Therefore,

It is the nature of non-apprehension. Among them, mere reversal is non-apprehension. It is explained by the statement, "Nothing becomes the object to be realized, nor does it become the cause of realization." Whatever is non-apprehensible is Prajñāpāramitā, because it is supreme wisdom and because it is the cause of reaching the other shore. However, if that is not Prajñāpāramitā, then even if one practices the emptiness of the aggregates, etc., one will know the aggregates, etc., just as seeing a cataract one knows silver, etc. To show this very reason, it is said, "When," etc. When one practices the non-apprehension of the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, and certainty arises, then it is Prajñāpāramitā, because it is established by valid cognition, and by its establishment, it is certain that the aggregates, etc., do not exist. Just as after seeing a cataract, certainty and doubt arise about the cataract. How that itself exists and does not exist, and how Prajñāpāramitā exists and is believed, to fully and truly understand all that is skillful means, the third cause of belief. One should declare being impoverished by Dharma, which is abandoning the true Dharma. From where? Because it is the cause of being impoverished by Dharma. Being impoverished by Dharma is decline, because one dwells in the lower realms for a long time without hearing, because it is the cause of dwelling in the lower realms for a long time, therefore it is the cause of being impoverished by Dharma. Therefore, it is being impoverished by Dharma. That itself is transformed from being impoverished by Dharma. Transformation there is done by it. At that time, it was said, "Venerable Rabjor," etc. Prajñāpāramitā itself is the path of cultivation. Yoga there is obtaining equipoise. In "distinguishing," etc., how to distinguish? Which ones have been practiced for a long time, and which ones have not been practiced. From where is it known? From the various orders of the faculties such as faith. It was said, "Rabjor," etc., to be connected to "those who do not believe will arise," etc. The vicinity of the Buddhas means nearby.
