Second Chapter: Explaining the Nature of Understanding the Path. Second Chapter: Explaining the Nature of Understanding the Path. What will definitely arise? It is said to be Bodhisattva Mahasattva. It means generating the mind of enlightenment. Therefore, it is said in the treatise: Generating the mind and instructions, the divisions of ascertainment are fourfold, the basis of practice, the nature of the realm of Dharma, the objects and for the sake of others, the activity of armor and entry, and the collection of definite arising, etc., are the all-knowing of the Able One. The Able One is the Tathagata, who knows all aspects. Therefore, in order for him to personally realize it, it is explained in this first chapter, which is ten things: generating the mind, instructions, the division of ascertainment, the basis of practice, the object, acting for the benefit of others and practice. Practice is also knowing what should be done. This also has four aspects, why? That is, armor and entry are two activities. Collection and definite arising, etc., are the other two. Therefore, the Bhagavan spoke of generating the mind with the first two words. Enlightenment is the supreme perfect enlightenment, to which, with mind and, thought and desire is enlightenment. The desire to become the most excellent of all sentient beings is great, the great sentient being is the great Bodhisattva here. Thus, it is also said in the treatise: Generating the mind is for the sake of others, desiring perfect and complete enlightenment. The so-called generating the mind is the basis of the name. The rest is the aspect of the name. The mind is truly desiring, and thus saying desiring to go, like the mind of I want to go. Its arising is generating the mind. Manifest desire and arising are no different, therefore saying arising is for the meaning of fully grasping the difference. For the sake of the benefit of others, focusing on the true and complete enlightenment, generating the mind is generating the mind, therefore this is the aspect of the name. Indicating the freedom of others, that is, for the sake of the benefit of others, desiring true and complete enlightenment.

Here, one who desires complete and perfect enlightenment is one with many fruits, its essence is that itself. This is the arising of the mind of enlightenment here. The Bhagavan said here that it is the primary nature of the ten, because it is obtained by being empowered by just that much. Although the distinctions are not spoken of, they are obtained by the temporary state. That is also spoken of in the Great Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, therefore it is said in the treatise: That is also earth, gold, moon and fire, treasure and jewel source, sea, vajra, mountain, medicine, spiritual friend, wish-fulfilling jewel, sun and song, king, treasury and great path, vehicle, adorned water and, sound, reflection, river, clouds, the aspects are twenty-two. That is also the mind of enlightenment, what are the twenty-two divisions of aspects? For example, earth, gold, moon, etc., because they are in accordance with the Dharma of earth, gold, moon, etc., they are earth, gold, moon, etc. In some cases, the general sound will also become special, the first mind of enlightenment is like the earth, the characteristic of desiring enlightenment arises, like the earth, it can generate all the increasing dharmas, and it can increase and abide in its gathering. The good gold like intention is like gold, because it shows the unchanging. The one who possesses application is like the moon, like the waxing moon, it is like finding the roots of virtue growing and increasing. The intention of understanding the difference is the superior intention, the one who possesses it is like fire, like fire, because it makes that difference, like fire that meets the difference of firewood. The one who possesses the perfection of generosity is like a treasure, like a great treasure, because the enjoyment of wealth can truly satisfy immeasurable sentient beings and is inexhaustible. The one who possesses the perfection of discipline is the source of jewels, like that, all the jewels of qualities arise from it. The source of jewels is the place where jewels are born, etc. The one who possesses the perfection of patience is like the sea, like the sea, because it is not disturbed by all the unpleasant things that flow into it. The one who possesses the perfection of diligence
