Etc., it was said. Mother means to produce. Why? Because all those precious dharmas are the very act of giving. That which, in the stage of the cause, is entirely the nature of a Bodhisattva, that which gives is what produces. Without mentioning the Buddha, it is actually known to produce the Buddha. And just by that, the mother of the Buddha is especially recognized. Therefore, the distinction of qualities is also spoken of as the ten powers, etc. That is the ten powers of the Tathagata. What are the ten? They are ten: the power of knowing what is possible and impossible, the power of knowing karma and its maturation, the power of knowing various realms, the power of knowing various inclinations, the power of knowing the superior and inferior faculties, the power of knowing the path that leads everywhere, the power of clearly knowing the dhyanas, liberations, samadhis, samapattis, defilements, purifications, and their distinctions, the power of knowing the recollection of past lives, the power of knowing death and birth, and the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements. The characteristics of these are as described in the Great Mother Bhagavati. In this context, existence and non-existence are what is possible and impossible. For example, the undesirable result of misconduct is possible, while the desirable result is impossible. Karma and its maturation are karma and its maturation. Various realms refer to the intention that generates merit and non-merit, and so on. Various inclinations refer to delighting in desire, hatred, and so on. Faculties are faith, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, and wisdom. The superiority and inferiority of these are: 'This is a sharp faculty,' 'This is a middling faculty,' and so on. The path that leads everywhere is: 'This is the path that is the antidote to desire,' 'This is the path that is the antidote to hatred,' and so on. The four dhyanas, the eight liberations, and the samadhis that include conceptualization and analysis, etc.

The three samādhis, the four formless absorptions, the nine successive abidings in absorption, and all the defilements, etc. Among these, all the defilements refer to savoring tastes, etc. Complete purification refers to non-objectification, etc. The trunk refers to a lion stretching out or sitting. Former abodes refer to former lives, and remembering them is recollection. Death and birth refer to the death and birth of sentient beings. Leakages refer to afflictions. Whatever eliminates those leakages, both of those are the exhaustion of leakages. These sentient beings, who correctly know all things such as what is and is not, here know what is and is not, etc. That itself is power, because it cannot be harmed by others and cannot be suppressed. Why is that? Because the four fearlessnesses have been practiced. It is said that, from the perspective of those who speak of knowledge, it is like a lion, utterly fearless, and its essence is fearlessness itself. There are four fearlessnesses: fearlessness in perfect enlightenment, fearlessness in the exhaustion of leakages, fearlessness in obstacles, and fearlessness in the laws of definite emergence. Perfect enlightenment is the Tathāgata's complete wisdom. The exhaustion of leakages is complete abandonment, and these two are for one's own benefit. The laws of obstacles are the unfavorable aspects of nirvāṇa. The laws of definite emergence are what lead to the attainment of nirvāṇa, and these two are for the benefit of others, in order to show them to others. Fearlessness is the meaning of fulfilling those vows, that is, doing those things. Those without protectors are sentient beings who have wandered in the ocean of suffering since beginningless time, and because they have no rebirth, their protectors and refuges are the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, that is, doing those things. This much is the accomplishment of the complete wisdom of omniscience. Precisely in order to accomplish the wisdom of omniscience itself by this, the Blessed One, etc., is spoken of. Saṃsāra refers to the aggregates with leakages. Its antidote is destruction. The very essence of the Dharma is its.
