Now, the way to make dedication to virtue will be explained. Regarding this, it is said in the scriptures: Perfect dedication is special, its action is supreme. It is of the nature of non-objectification, its characteristic is non-perversion. Solitude and the accumulation of merit of the Buddhas, are the objects of mindfulness of their own nature. Skillful means are without characteristics, as well as rejoicing in the Buddhas, not belonging to the three realms, the other dedications of small, medium, and great are of three kinds, they are the nature of the origin of great merit. Thus it is said. Because it is more excellent than the merit arising from the giving, morality, and meditation of all sentient beings, it is special. Moreover, this is with perfect complete enlightenment as the premise, it is the meaning of the supreme of all sentient beings, because in the great mother it is said that in common with all sentient beings, one dedicates to unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, and that is also in a non-objectifying manner. Therefore, dedicating with this specialty is a special dedication. From then on, bodhisattvas, great bodhisattvas, Maitreya, and so on are proclaimed. A bodhisattva is one who possesses the mind of enlightenment, as has been said. One who has become special by specialty is a great bodhisattva, because he has extra effort in dedication, so he is a great bodhisattva. The root of virtue endowed with rejoicing is rejoicing. First, here is shown the non-objectifying dedication, which will be explained extensively later, and that which is in accordance with it is its dedication. This word "this" is connected with the word of the object of merit. This "from those" refers to the nature of merit arising from the giving and so on of all sentient beings. Why is it called supreme from "called supreme" to "unequal and equal"? Because it is the cause of producing supreme results and so on. And how is that known? Because it is successively the cause of the complete benefit of oneself and others. The eleven grounds, such as the Joyful Ground, are also completely included.

Therefore. Although there are kinds, yet with the power of encompassing all, with the common difference with those unequal Buddhas, unequal and equal. This is the ground of Universal Light. How is it called the unequal Dharma cloud? It is because it is unequal and equal and corresponds to the Dharma. The Bodhisattva who is the master of the ten grounds should be regarded as a Buddha, but is not a perfectly enlightened Buddha, because of such words. He then, with the meaning of the previous words such as the holy ones, has shown the difference of dedication. Those words such as the holy ones are the supreme maker, and he is the maker with the difference of dedication. Those who say thus and so on, speak of the dedication without an object of focus. This has ten directions, so it is the world of the ten directions, which is the world of the vessel of the measure of space. "Everywhere" means in all directions. "All included" means pervasive, which means without interruption. The repetition of "immeasurable" and so on is the meaning related to each direction. "In the boundless and limitless" and so on means boundless and limitless. They are repeated here because the meaning is increased, not because the words are increased. They are here because they are not attached to distant directions, so they are immeasurable, and because they are countless, they are countless. Because the direction is vast, they are uninterrupted in everything, so they are immeasurable. Because they cannot be thought of separately, they are inconceivable. Because they cannot think of those who should be thought of, they are boundless. Thus, in all directions, each of the boundless three thousands, in each direction is also three thousand, and to them, from the immeasurable upon immeasurable to the boundless and limitless, the Tathagatas are connected. The repetition here should also be connected to each of the three thousands. If it is said that in one three thousand there are no immeasurable Tathagatas? It is said that it has been said in the past. Although not everything is one Tathagata now, it is immeasurable because the past has no beginning. Therefore, although it is one world, in the past, that
