These have all been arranged. The remaining part is as before, that is the great praise. Furthermore, from "Kaushika in Jambudvipa" to "will be offered to thorough discernment," this shows the first respect. Completing the missing parts should also be done as before, that is, arranging the four dhyanas, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the five superknowledges, and arranging between the dhyanas, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, and all the superknowledges, this has already shown the dhyanas. Loving-kindness and so on refer to the four Brahma-viharas that focus on sentient beings in the desire realm; because they focus on immeasurable sentient beings, they are immeasurable, namely loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. May all sentient beings have happiness, may they be free from suffering, may they never be separated from happiness, may they be liberated from all afflictions, these are their forms, namely the thought of having happiness, the thought of being free from suffering, the thought of never being separated from happiness, and the thought of being without all afflictions. In the stage of practice through faith, all four focus on sentient beings. The seventh, such as extreme joy, focuses on suchness. For the immovable and so on, there is no object of focus. Regarding the immeasurables, the sutra says: "A mind endowed with loving-kindness, vast, great, non-dual, immeasurable, uncontracted, unrelaxed, without obscuration, without harm, all-pervading, extremely cultivated, filled with the realm of phenomena, reaching the limit of the space element, possessing all, pervading one direction of the world, having been completed, abiding; having pervaded the ten directions, having been completed, abiding." Up to this point. Similarly, it should also be applied to having compassion, having joy, and having equanimity. Among them, "a mind endowed with loving-kindness" refers to one who possesses qualities. The remaining part shows the qualities. "Vast" shows the vastness of mind. "Great" refers to increase.
