Knowing oneself and those who are completely dedicated, this is called the subsequent teaching. Among them, the nature of the perfections is exemplified by trees such as flowers. The shadow here is the same taste of their shadows. They are examples of being completely grasped by skillful means. This is the great of great devotion to the benefit of others. Merit is, according to the situation, the perfection of wisdom. Those are spoken of in the chapter of complete fulfillment. The difficult commentary on the Holy Eight Thousand Verses Prajñāpāramitā, composed by the teacher Ratnakaraśānti, called the Supreme Essence, is the fourth chapter. Having shown the action and intention, praise, respect, and commendation should be expressed. Because of praise, it is praise. Because of respect, it is respect. Because of commendation, it is commendation, and where it exists is accumulation, which means extreme praise. Therefore, in the treatise, it is said: For the Prajñāpāramitā, in the state of intention, praise, respect, and commendation are desired with nine categories and three types. It is said that for the Prajñāpāramitā, with intention, that is, what was said before, with the distinction of self-interest, dual interest, and the interest of others, praise, respect, and commendation are desired in sequence with nine categories and three types. Wanting, called praise, etc., should be applied one by one. Among them, the expression of qualities is praise, respect, and commendation with the distinction of small, medium, and large. Among those, again, each with the distinction between small of small, etc., and large of large, etc., is the meaning of the so-called nine categories and three types. Among those, the cause of the Bodhisattva is two types: the ability to benefit others and taking benefiting others as the main thing. Among them, the first, from then on, the Blessed One said to Indra, etc., until again, sons or daughters of the Kausika lineage, etc., is the display of the first. This makes the intention for the ability to benefit others, for three things, extremely stable, namely, the prediction of the actions of others, and the qualities of the Blessed Mother, and oneself becoming that itself.
