རྒྱད་ནི་ is the collection of adversaries. Among them, the path of seeing refers to suchness, etc., as well as forms, etc., and the objects taken by dreams, etc. The object of focus is conceptual thought, and not focusing on the characteristics of its nature is its antidote. Focusing on the antidote objects from generosity, etc., up to the Dharma of the Buddhas is conceptual thought. Not focusing is the antidote. Focusing on the generosity, etc., of arhats and the objects of sentient beings is conceptual thought. Not focusing is the antidote. Focusing on names, symbols, conventional truths, etc., is conceptual thought. Not focusing is the antidote. Abiding in the path of meditation is not without abiding, that is, in the manner of all dharmas being without abiding, that is, in the manner of the realm of Dharma. These are not focusing on the objects taken. The antidote objects of generosity, etc., are not focusing. Not focusing on the objects of sentient beings such as stream-enterers, and entering into stream-enterers, etc., and focusing on the basis of imputation of sentient beings such as the fruit of stream-entry, etc., these are not the collection of adversaries. The practice of collection is complete. Here, because of definite renunciation, it is the time for the practice of definite renunciation. In this regard, it is said in the treatises: "Intentional action and equality, the benefit of sentient beings and effortlessness, as well as extreme definite renunciation, the characteristic of attainment being definite renunciation, all-knowingness, having the sphere of activity of the path of definite renunciation, these eight aspects of self-nature, it is said that this is the practice of definite renunciation." Thus it is said. This is just as it is said, such as "Thus he commanded," etc. It is called "Subhuti's Question," what is being asked? It mentions the Great Vehicle, etc. Therefore, this surpasses the world including gods, humans, and asuras, and causes Bodhisattvas to definitely renounce. Therefore, this vehicle is called the Great Vehicle. Why is it able to surpass all the world? Because it is able to obtain the great benefit that has not been obtained. What is that? The sentient

It is established as the supreme of the assembly. It is the greatness of great mind, the greatness of great renunciation, and the greatness of great realization. Thus, this is the definitive arising for a specific purpose. Because it is equal to space, it is the Great Vehicle. Therefore, that vehicle is called the Great Vehicle, and it is connected in this way. As for being equal to space, how is it equal? Just as space has no distinctions of direction, it is not color, not shape, without obstruction, cannot be pointed out, without end, without center, without decrease, without increase, without arising, without ceasing, does not belong to the desire realm, does not belong to the form realm, does not belong to the formless realm. The Great Vehicle is also the same. Therefore, because it is equal to space, it is the Great Vehicle. Therefore, it arises definitively through equality. As it is said, "like space," space is what opens up space. Because the Great Vehicle has space, it opens up the realms of the world, cliffs, and directions without end, immeasurable, countless, inconceivable. This is the way of saying it. If you ask, "Does this open up space for so many sentient beings?" The answer is, because there are no sentient beings, there is no space. Because there is no space, there is no Great Vehicle. Because there is no Great Vehicle, there are no phenomena. Therefore, sentient beings, space, the Great Vehicle, and all phenomena have no form, cannot be pointed out, are without obstruction, and have one characteristic: non-characteristic. Thus, opening up space for so many sentient beings is the Great Vehicle. Therefore, it is the definitive arising of sentient beings. In this, and so on, coming is coming, definitely going is definitely going, abiding is the opposite of going. The Great Vehicle does not have these three. Why? Because all phenomena are immovable. Why? Because by their very nature, they do not go anywhere, do not come from anywhere, and do not abide anywhere. Because of movement and agitation, it is the definitive arising without effort.
