are young. Desire and diligence, faith and great diligence, mindfulness and awareness, mind and equanimity. Among them, when will I generate the samadhi of the world and beyond? This is called desire. Certainly destroying all non-virtuous dharmas, this is diligence. To realize the higher dharma, faith is faith. That which goes before it is great diligence. There, remembering the aspect of abiding, is mindfulness. The aspect of insight is awareness. There, the mind clearly perceives, this is mind. Completely without afflictions, this is equanimity. Abandoning the samadhi of desire, etc., is the miraculous foot that accords with intention, that dwells in solitude, dwells in detachment, dwells in cessation, and meditates by transforming with complete abandonment. There, solitude is solitude from afflictions. Detachment is detachment from existence. Cessation is suffering. Complete abandonment is abandoning all aggregates, that is transforming with complete abandonment. Being able to be independent is the root, that is, faith, etc., are in the front. Obtaining independence in generating the dharma beyond the world, therefore it is the root. Becoming the faculties, that is, from the faculty of faith to the faculty of wisdom. Seeing the sign of having the miraculous foot, hope arises, and higher, more excellent dharmas arise, and faith arises in the vehicle of the teacher and the hearers. Where that faith can independently generate the dharma beyond the world, it is called the faculty of faith. By the power of the faculties, diligence, etc., arise even more excellently, therefore, similarly, being able to independently generate the dharma beyond the world, it is called the faculty of diligence, etc. Therefore, it becomes the five faculties. Meditating on the five faculties, how can it be that demons, etc., the unfavorable side, cannot stand and are difficult to overcome, therefore the power increases greatly, that is, from the power of faith to the power of wisdom. On the path of seeing, truly realizing as it is, is enlightenment and perfect and complete enlightenment. Its branch is right

These are the seven limbs of perfect enlightenment: right mindfulness enlightenment limb, discrimination of dharma right enlightenment limb, effort right enlightenment limb, joy right enlightenment limb, serenity right enlightenment limb, samadhi right enlightenment limb, and equanimity right enlightenment limb. Among these, the discrimination of dharma right enlightenment limb and the three others are the aspect of higher vision. Serenity, samadhi, and equanimity are the aspect of calm abiding. Having obtained these, I see afflictions, and having seen that what should be abandoned by seeing has been abandoned. In order to abandon what should be abandoned by cultivation, one cultivates the noble path in three aggregates: right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right samadhi. Among these, two things and right effort are the aggregate of wisdom. Right mindfulness and right samadhi are the aggregate of samadhi. The remainder is the aggregate of discipline. Moreover, in the Discrimination of the Middle and the Extremes, it says: Nature limb, place limb, the third is emergence. The fourth is benefit limb. Three are the non-affliction limbs. Regarding this, there is a basis, a place, and, an examination of the essence. Thus it is said. Among these, mindfulness is the place of enlightenment. Discrimination of dharma is nature. Effort is emergence. Joy is benefit. Since it arises from the cause of the defiled state of suffering, serenity is the basis of non-defilement, because it is its antidote. Samadhi is the place. Equanimity is the essence. Completely cutting off and understanding, the three cause others to have faith. As an antidote to the unfavorable side, there are eight limbs of answering. View and discipline, and the reduction of resources, one wishes to reveal to others. Afflictions, near afflictions, and, the antidote to the unfavorable side. Among these, on the path of seeing, completely
