English
To. The meaning of "how it is not" is that it exists, because there is something that harms it. Similarly, the meaning of "it truly exists" is that it does not exist, and it appears with the nature of falsehood. "Thus" means by the reasoning that has been explained. "Non-existent" means false. "Ignorance" means the meaning of ignorance, because it is a distinction of ignorance. "To them" and so on, this shows the conceptualization of the object. This is the first conceptualization of ignorance. "By them" means by individual childish beings. "All phenomena" means aggregates, sense bases, and so on. "To the non-existent" means the object held by children as existent. "Examined" means similarly holding it as an object itself. This is examining the aggregates, the second conceptualization. "To the two extremes" means birth and cessation. "Attachment" means completely abiding. How is it? It is said, "Those phenomena" and so on. "Not knowing" means not ascertaining the suchness, because there is no attainment of the path of joining. "Not seeing" means there is no conceptualization of the path that transcends the world. Why is that? From "Why is that?" and so on, up to "completely attached," it is the conclusion. This is the conceptualization of attachment to the two extremes, the third. "Completely attached" means abiding in the two extremes. "Its basis" means the cause. "Object" means wrong knowledge. "From the place" means relying. "Completely attached to name and form" means name is the non-material aggregate, form is the aggregate of form. Both of these are name and form. Completely attached to that, completely attached to name and form, is the fourth conceptualization. The other five are to be examined. These forms and so on are completely afflicted, these are completely purified, not knowing and not seeing. "Definitely not arising" means from the three realms and the vehicles. This is the conceptualization of not knowing the completely afflicted and the completely purified, the fifth. They do not have faith in emptiness.
