Here, realizing that all dharmas are extremely empty, and manifesting and clearly showing, giving rise to the definite understanding that all dharmas are extremely empty, and without attachment to entities, this is the reply of the refuter. The power of the path of practicing the extremely pure path has been perfected. Chapter Three, Explaining Omniscience. In the first chapter, the Omniscient Aspect is shown, and with seven and a half chapters, the non-path nature is explained. The Uncommon Antidote aspects, as well as the union and its equality, and the explanation of the Hearers, there are eight points to this. As for how long before, with wisdom not dwelling in existence, with compassion not dwelling in peace, being distant by non-means, and not being distant by means. The Uncommon Antidote aspects, as well as the union and its equality, and the path of seeing of the Hearers and so on, all such are desired to be Omniscience. Thus it is said, therefore in the treatise it says: Not on this shore or the other shore, not dwelling in between them, in order to know the equality of all times, therefore it is called Prajnaparamita. Thus it is said, what is called Prajnaparamita is Omniscience. What is called not on this shore, refers to samsara. What is called not on the other shore, refers to nirvana. Not dwelling in between them, means that the three are unobtainable. Why is this so? Because it is said to know the equality of the three times. Because of the nature of dharma, the equality of the three times, the nature of all dharmas, is unobtainable in any way. This is the question: Bhagavan, etc. Among them, "here" refers to the general explanation given earlier. "Here" refers to the explanation of the distinction of Omniscience that is to be explained. Therefore, "vast" etc. is said, because it is entering into distinction or because it is the occasion of distinction. Or, why does it not dwell? Because it is far away, harmed by the unobtainability of the three. The Bhagavan, with "because of extreme purity" etc., spoke of the reason, the meaning of all dharmas being extremely pure by the nature of emptiness of self-nature. Hearers, their own suffering...

Merely seeking the cessation of suffering, they are extremely averse to fully realizing samsara, and extremely delighted in fully realizing nirvana, swiftly entering into complete nirvana. Bodhisattvas are not like that; for the sake of all sentient beings, they abide in desiring unsurpassed enlightenment. The scripture says, "That, with characterized objects, is distant because it is not a means." This means that focusing on characterized objects is not a means, and therefore it becomes distant. This is like what is said in the scripture, "Subhuti," and so on. "That emptiness" refers to liberation from name and characteristics. "Will abandon" means to relinquish, that is, one will become attached to names and characteristics. "Will become distant" refers to characteristics, one will become distant from characteristics. The scripture says, "That, with skillful means, is said to be truly near." This means that entering without attachment is skillful means, and therefore it becomes near. Like what is said in the scripture, "Thus it is said," and so on. Attachment refers to clinging to names and characteristics. That is complete realization. Because the meaning of those things is not real. "Well spoken" refers to the sixteen moments of the path of seeing. "Well shown" refers to the twelve links. "Extremely ultimate" refers to the nature of not abiding in samsara and nirvana. "Extremely pure" refers to abandoning the extremes of attachment. "To what" refers to "to that." "Is" is a particle of speech. "Name" is wonderful. "This also" refers to attachment, which will be explained below. Abandoning attachment is skillful means, therefore it becomes near. After explaining the common nature of attachment, its distinctions will be explained, therefore the scripture says, "Form and other aggregates, emptiness, the dharmas realized in the three times, generosity and other aspects of enlightenment, the thought of practice, different categories." This means that form and so on refers to all dharmas. Aggregates refers to collections, that is, their emptiness. The three times refers to the dharmas of the three times. The word "practice" is a synonym for practice.
