Oh! These three also do not cling to the Mahayana, because it is the vehicle of the equality of the three times, therefore it is the Mahayana. How is it the equality of the three times? Because the past time is also empty of the past time. The future time is also empty of the future time. The present time is also empty of the present time, it is the equality of the three times. The Mahayana is also empty of the Mahayana, the Bodhisattva is also empty of the Bodhisattva. In emptiness, there is no past or present. There is no complete affliction. There is no purification. There is no samsara. There is no nirvana. Therefore, that vehicle is the equality of the three times, which is impossible to indicate, so it is extremely certain arising. Then the Blessed One, etc., were spoken. Here, when Subhuti shows the meaning of the word Mahayana, the Blessed One gives the approval of "Good!", and with "By learning here," etc., shows the occasion of certain arising by the nature of attainment. Here, what is called omniscience is omniscience. Then, with the Blessed One, etc., from the perspective of the Perfection of Wisdom, the expounder of the Mahayana is not the occasion, in order to dispel the doubts of others. Whoever, by the power of the Buddha, the Blessed One, etc., is the answer. What is called showing in accordance is because what you show of all dharmas and the nature of the Mahayana is the wisdom of the nature of non-substantiality, and those are also the Perfection of Wisdom, therefore it is considered to be showing in accordance. Furthermore, the occasion itself of "also," etc., is from the perspective of certain arising by the nature of attainment, and there, with the twelve distinctions of attainment, twelve sentences were spoken. Then, in order to show the difference between those two, it is the tone of "also." Among them, the first sentence is shown with "In addition," etc. The second sentence is with "What is that for?" etc. The third sentence is with "Form Bodhisattva," etc. The

Om. The fourth is that which begins with "Bhagavan, thus." The fifth is that which begins with "This which is called Bhagavan Buddha." The sixth is that which begins with "How I." The seventh is that which is called "The dharmas do not have intrinsic nature." The eighth is that which begins with "That which is not apprehended." The ninth is that which begins with "Thus those dharmas." The tenth is that which begins with "What is that?" The eleventh is that which begins with "Apart from the unestablished Bhagavan." The twelfth is that which begins with "If it is thus." The ultimate habit of attachment to examination is that the arising of attachment is dependent on others. Its reversal in all aspects is the attainment of the Bodhisattva, the all-knowing one. That is the general meaning. The meaning of the limbs should be stated. Here also, in this great vehicle of the Bhagavan, Bodhisattvas, great beings, who have passed, will come, and are present, having trained, will attain omniscience. They will attain it. He said, "They will attain it." Therein, the beginning and the end and the middle are not observed. Therefore, there is no sentient being, no dharma, and no Bodhisattva. Thus, there is no sentient being, no dharma, and no Bodhisattva. These beginning, end, and middle are all indivisible. Therefore, this which is called "The Bodhisattva is not near the beginning, etc." is the first meaning. Why is that? In that which begins with "beginning," etc., from what is that? The reason is stated in that which begins with "There is no form." Form, etc., are equal to space. Because of that which relies on the emptiness of form, these are without limit, and are separated from the beginning, the end, and the middle. Thus, that which is called "Bodhisattva" is the second meaning. In that which begins with "Form Bodhisattva," etc., "not near" means not approaching. Because these also do not exist.

Because of not observing, form and so on rely on emptiness. Because of this reason, there is no abandoning of emptiness and form and so on, and bodhisattvas do not exist either. This is the third meaning. 'Thus' refers to when appearing as form. 'The Dharma of a Bodhisattva' refers to the form and so on of what is called a Bodhisattva. 'All' refers to all by way of divisions such as aggregates and elements. 'From all' refers to all as they are, that is, the category of all completely perfect limbs. 'Again, all' refers to each of all those categories, and again all. 'All aspects' refers to not observing each other mutually, because those are emptiness. 'Also all-knowingness' refers to also all-aspects knowingness. 'Bhagavan that' and so on, 'that Dharma' refers to understanding the Bodhisattva in question. 'Prajnaparamita' refers to also all-aspects knowingness. 'What Dharma' refers to what is called a Bodhisattva. 'By what Dharma' refers to by what is called Prajnaparamita. 'In what Dharma' refers to what is called all-aspects knowingness to be attained. 'Should be instructed' refers to for the sake of attaining, that is, the meaning of what, by what, where. Similarly, because there is no instruction, there is no subsequent practice, what is not attained in what, where. This is the fourth meaning. 'Buddha' refers to Buddhahood, that is, the meaning of what is called all-aspects knowingness. 'Only name' refers to a name that is empty of meaning, therefore the nature of meaninglessness is a name, because before the symbol, it is seen only as meaning. There is also no self-nature of meaning in the name, because even without understanding the meaning, there is understanding of only the name. Although meaningless, because of combining sounds, the name is meaningless. Therefore, that name is also not manifestly established, the name itself is not manifestly established. Therefore, the name of a Bodhisattva is not manifestly established, and the name of all-aspects knowingness is not manifestly established, so it is attained.
