If it is said like that, then is it either naturally impure or pure, if you think like that? According to the first view, it is not pure, like polishing coal. According to the second view, it is meaningless. If it is said that the nature of mind is pure, then that is also unreasonable, because it does not change. This is the view of the debater. The answer is given by saying that all phenomena are naturally completely pure, etc. Because all phenomena are naturally completely pure, therefore, with that intention, one should understand and abide in the Prajnaparamita. If it is said that it does not change, so that is also unreasonable, isn't that what was said? Although it is said like that, it is still unreasonable, because it is a definite reason. Although it is naturally pure, because it is not its nature, it is defiled by the stains of sudden obscurations, like the sky being obscured by clouds, darkness, and fog, etc. Later, by eliminating those obscurations with the Prajnaparamita, it will become pure, like the sky after the clouds, etc., have been removed. The Prajnaparamita is also taught by the Bhagavan, and by teaching it, it generates knowledge with characteristics. Therefore, isn't the Prajnaparamita with characteristics? This is the view of the debater. The answer is given by saying that all phenomena are without words, etc. Because all phenomena are without words, words do not show its own nature, but are merely symbols. Therefore, one should understand the Prajnaparamita for the purpose of showing the ultimate truth. If karma and afflictions are exhausted, will there be rebirth again? Or, if they are exhausted, then birth is also exhausted, then the remaining conditioned aggregates will continue until the end of life, and then cease by themselves, therefore, it will only become Bodhi, but not unsurpassed perfect and complete Bodhi, shouldn't their difference be explained? This is the view of the debater. The answer is given in three words: all phenomena are without cessation, which means that the non-perishing phenomena will not be exhausted, therefore it is Prajnaparamita.

It should be subsequently understood. How is there no obstruction? Because abandonment and sameness are abandonment without certainty, and because there is no difference. What is called "all dharmas" is that all pervasively afflicted dharmas, in order to attain nirvana, should be subsequently understood as prajnaparamita. How is the suchness of those things known as it is? It is the same as suchness. If they are thus the same as suchness, then it is said, "all dharmas do not come," and so on. What is called "does not come" is from the future time. What is called "does not go" is in the past time. Because there is no place from which to come, and no place to go. Nothing is known, because mere self-awareness cannot know time. Because of not knowing, and because going and coming are preceded by knowing. Therefore, it is said to be unborn, extremely unborn. This alone shows the perfection of the bodhisattvas' own benefit. Even if this is the perfection of one's own benefit, in the world, because one naturally likes one's own benefit, one also strives diligently for one's own benefit. Benefiting others is difficult, because sentient beings are infinite, and because they are others, and because there are many inverted discriminations, which is called refutation. What is called "because one does not see self and other" is the answer, what is called "self and other" is difference. Because one does not see this, one sees all sentient beings as the same as oneself, that is the meaning. Thus, in the Sutra of the Holy Vimalakirti, it is said that even if one generates a view of the aggregates as great as Mount Sumeru, one generates the mind of enlightenment, and from that all the Buddha's teachings arise, just like that. After that, how should one separately examine the antidote to the thought of difficulty? That is what is said from "all dharmas are noble arhats" to "because there is no anger, one should subsequently understand prajnaparamita." Among them, first, in order to eliminate the difficult thought that sentient beings are arhats, etc., it is said, "all dharmas are noble arhats," and so on. All dharmas are
