Those who abandon offerings called "Na" and forsake the Three Jewels, those beings who fall into evil destinies after death, will be liberated by great compassion and will surely be united with enlightenment. The seventy-seventh chapter, the Pure Buddha Land, is complete. This chapter has four activities: certainty, benefiting sentient beings, relying on the Buddha, and the limbs of enlightenment. The first of these, certainty, refers to the bodhisattva's generation of the mind, etc., being certain of unsurpassed enlightenment. Question: Will a bodhisattva who is certain still fall into the three evil destinies, etc.? Answer: Just as the enlightenment of a Shravaka-pratyekabuddha does not fall into evil destinies, so too, a bodhisattva who practices the six perfections will not fall into the eight unfavorable conditions, etc., places of downfall. There are six activities of immeasurable benefit to sentient beings. First, question: If the one who initially generates the mind is not born in the eight unfavorable conditions, then when the Buddha himself also shows birth as an animal, where does the merit lie at that time? Answer: A bodhisattva is not born in an evil destiny because of unwholesome karma, but intentionally takes a body for the benefit of sentient beings and is not defiled by suffering. Second question and answer: Abiding in what wholesome dharma does one take such an evil destiny body? Answer: After perfecting all wholesome dharmas, one takes such a body. Third question and answer: How does one perfect all wholesome dharmas and be reborn in an evil destiny? Answer: The answer is that the Tathagata perfects all wholesome dharmas, is born in an evil destiny for the benefit of sentient beings, and benefits sentient beings without being defiled by the suffering of the evil destiny. Like an illusion, a bodhisattva benefits sentient beings without any discrimination. Like illusory horses and cows, even if killing and other things occur, there is no suffering. Fourth question and answer: What is the skillful means by which one can take such a body and not be defiled by suffering? Answer: Practicing the Prajnaparamita without being defiled. Why? Because all dharmas are empty, who touches and what is touched are all without object. Fifth question and answer: Only practicing the Prajnaparamita, other dharmas

Then, is it not practiced? The answer is, there is no Dharma that is not included within the perfections. The sixth question is, if prajna is empty in its essence, how can it be included within it? To this, there is neither inclusion nor non-inclusion. The answer is, because one realizes that all dharmas are emptiness, it is included within it. The activities of serving the Buddhas, etc., are that, based on all dharmas being emptiness, one serves the Buddhas of the ten directions with the six superknowledges, and completely ripens sentient beings. The answer is, all imputed things, such as the Buddhas of the ten directions, are empty in their essence, therefore they do not become a temporary emptiness, but one benefits sentient beings with the six superknowledges. With the divine eye, one sees all dharmas as empty, and abides in that state, accomplishing realization. With that pure divine eye, one sees the realms of the ten directions, and goes to those places by means of miraculous power. From generosity up to the unmixed dharmas, one benefits sentient beings with the three vehicles, and teaches sentient beings about the aspects that are discordant with the six perfections. With the divine eye, one sees which sentient beings are born in the realms of the ten directions, and goes to those places by means of miraculous power, understands the minds of those sentient beings, and accordingly teaches the six perfections, the noble truths, and the dharmas up to liberation. With the divine ear element, one hears the sounds of the gods, and hears the Dharma spoken by all the Buddhas who reside in the realms of the ten directions, and having heard it, one holds it in accordance with reality. Having held it, one teaches sentient beings the Dharma from the six perfections up to liberation. Knowing the categories of these, one knows the minds of sentient beings, and teaches the Dharma from generosity up to liberation. With the recollection of past lives, one recollects the past Buddhas, shravakas, and the abodes of sentient beings, and teaches them the Dharma from generosity up to liberation. With miraculous power, one serves the Buddhas of the ten directions, and teaches sentient beings the Dharma from generosity up to liberation. With the superknowledge of the exhaustion of defilements,
