Not abiding in the aspect of objects from form to omniscience is the peak. Not abiding in the aspect of objects, such as permanence and impermanence, happiness and suffering, self and no-self, impurity and purity, peace and non-peace, solitude and non-solitude, emptiness and non-emptiness, signs and no-signs, wishes and no-wishes, from form to omniscience, is patience. Not abiding in the aspect of objects from stream-enterer and so forth, distinguished by the unconditioned, or called the place of giving, or from the first ground to the manifestation of complete perfect enlightenment, and then to the turning of the wheel of Dharma, is the supreme Dharma. The reason for non-abiding is that Shariputra, the Bodhisattva, practicing the Mother, wondered where he abides. And Subhuti raised his head, and where does the Tathagata abide? Shariputra said: The Tathagata does not abide between form and the realm of the conditioned and unconditioned, because the Tathagata has not seen all Dharmas. Subhuti said: The Tathagata neither abides nor does not abide between form and omniscience. Likewise, the Bodhisattva practicing the Perfection of Wisdom neither abides nor does not abide. The Hearers consider the path of the Solitary Realizer to be particularly superior, the Lord said: For the sake of realizing self-originated nature, even if others show it, it is not needed. The wisdom like a rhinoceros horn is said to be profound. Whatever and whatever meaning, however one listens, just like that, even without sound, there is meaning, that is how it appears. The actual path of the Solitary Realizer is: Because the conceptualization of grasping has ceased, and because grasping has not been abandoned, the basis of the path like a rhinoceros horn should be known as truly condensed. Having cut off the six kinds of addition and subtraction, showing that the unborn has no nature with the example of a flower, therefore the sons of the gods who enjoy in the desire realm and the form realm will think: If the Yakshas show it in their own languages and words, it can be understood. Subhuti thought it was not so. Subhuti said: No one speaks, no one hears, no one will know. That

Why is that? All the Bodhi of the three times is beyond all words and letters. Cutting off the superimposition is like in a dream, when the manifester of the dream teaches the Dharma to the four assemblies of the dream, who would think that someone is speaking, hearing, and understanding? The son of the gods said there is none. Similarly, like illusion, echo, emanation, etc., no one speaks and no one hears. Cutting off the profound superimposition is when the son of the gods said: Subhuti shows what is deeper than deep, and enters what is finer than fine. To this, Subhuti said: From form to omniscience is neither deep nor fine. Their nature is also neither deep nor fine. Cutting off the imputed superimposition is when the son of the gods thought: From form to omniscience, there is not even imputation. Subhuti said: Thus, why is that? The Bodhi of the three times cannot be imputed by all words and letters. All the noble ones of the three times should not waver in this forbearance. Chapter Fifteen, Shakra. From this chapter, three kinds of superimpositions are cut off. Cutting off the superimposition of listening is when the son of the gods thought: How does the venerable Subhuti listen to the Dharma? Subhuti said: From form to Nirvana is like a dream, like an illusion. If there is a Dharma more excellent than that, that too is like an illusion, like a dream. Cutting off the superimposition of thinking is when Shariputra and other retinues said: This Prajnaparamita, so profound, so subtle, so difficult to realize, not an object of thought, who can realize it? Subhuti said: Non-returning Bodhisattvas, those who see the truth, Arhats who have exhausted defilements, and the four who are upheld by virtuous friends realize it in this way: Form is emptiness. Up to purification, emptiness and non-emptiness, sign and no-sign, aspiration and no-aspiration, arising and ceasing, defilement and purification, peace and non-peace. One does not discriminate that form is peace, and one does not discriminate that peace is form.
