Inversion, doubt, and enduring afflictions, abandoning all these ten, the fifth ground is then truly attained. Associating with householders and renunciates, and clinging to home, that is, the home one should approach closely, noise is improper speech. Praise is extolling, contempt is reviling, the path of karma is the basis of karma, arrogance is a high mind, conceit is the body not bowing to superiors, inversion is clinging to meaning in a reversed way, doubt is hesitation, enduring afflictions is abiding in desire, hatred, and ignorance. Thus, having completely abandoned those ten dharmas, one will attain the fifth ground. Giving, ethics, patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom, perfectly complete, towards disciples and pratyekabuddhas, abandoning the mind of joy and sorrow, not being discouraged when begging, all possessions, giving away without displeasure, and not abandoning beggars even when poor, with this, the sixth ground is truly attained. As it is said, the perfections such as giving are individually completely perfected, thus six dharmas, and likewise delighting in hearers, delighting in solitary realizers, completely abandoning the mind of sorrow, thus three, not being discouraged when begging, that is, the mind being without discouragement, giving away all possessions without displeasure, and not abandoning beggars even when impoverished, thus three, with those twelve dharmas, one will attain the sixth ground. Clinging to self and sentient beings, life and person, eternalism and nihilism, sign and cause, and aggregates, realms and sources, and clinging to and abiding in the three realms, the mind clinging to permanence, towards the Three Jewels and ethics, manifest clinging to views about them, disbelieving in emptiness, and faults contrary to that, whoever cuts off the twenty, that one attains the seventh ground. Knowing the three doors of liberation, the purity of the three spheres, compassion and absence of contempt, equality of dharmas and knowing one principle, non-arising and knowing patience, teaching all dharmas as one aspect, completely destroying all discriminations, abandoning conceptions, views, and afflictions, definitely thinking about calm abiding, being skilled in insight, the mind being tamed
