The term "nine" refers to the lineage ground and so on. Among them, the lineage that transcends suffering is the lineage. Entering the fruit of stream-enterer is the eighth ground. The ground of seeing is stream-enterer. Once-returner is the thinned ground. Non-returner is the ground of detachment from desire. Because of knowing that the task has been done, the one with accomplished understanding is the Arhat, and that ground is the ground of the one with accomplished understanding. The ground of the Hearer is the ground of the Hearer, which is those six grounds. The ground of the Solitary Buddha is the ground of the Solitary Buddha. The ground of the Bodhisattva is the nine grounds of the Bodhisattva mentioned above, and the wisdom that transcends those nine grounds, by which the Bodhisattva abides in the Buddha ground, that is the tenth ground of the Bodhisattva. That is the collection of grounds. Below the collection of grounds, before the practice of definite emergence, the collection of antidotes is extensively explained in the sutras. In that regard: On the paths of seeing and familiarity, the conceptualizations of the grasped and the grasper, in order to pacify them, are called eight antidotes. As it is said. Among them, familiarity is cultivation. Grasping is the act of grasping. The four conceptualizations that are the opposing factors of the path of seeing are to be abandoned by seeing, and among them, the two conceptualizations of the grasped are those that rely solely on objects, and those that rely on both. The two conceptualizations of the grasper are those that rely on the person as truly existent, and those that rely on the basis of imputation of a person. Those same four conceptualizations are also the opposing factors of the path of cultivation, and are to be abandoned by cultivation. Therefore, for the purpose of abandoning them, the two paths are none other than the eight antidotes. Among them, the first is, Subhuti, whatever you said, from where will this vehicle definitely arise? Until the emanation of the Thus-Gone One is empty of inherent nature. Here, the object of the grasped, such as Suchness, and so on, and form, and so on, and dreams, and so on, merely seeing the nature of non-apprehension, this path of seeing is the antidote to the first conceptualization of the grasped. The second is giving.

Beginning with the Perfection of Wisdom, up to the emptiness of the nature of all Buddha-dharmas. Here, the non-apprehension of things on the side of antidotes, such as generosity, is called the path of seeing. This path of seeing is the antidote to the second kind of conceptualization of what is apprehended. Third, from "Rabjor, whoever desires to arise in the dharma without characteristics, that Arhat," to "because of the emptiness of the nature of all-knowingness." Here, the non-apprehension of the real existence of persons such as Arhats is the path of seeing. This path of seeing is the antidote to the first kind of conceptualization of grasping. Fourth, from "Rabjor, whoever desires to arise in the dharma without characteristics, that is called name," to "that place is immovable." Here, the non-apprehension of names, symbols, conventions, etc., is the path of seeing. This path of seeing is the antidote to the second kind of conceptualization of grasping. Fifth, from "Rabjor, whatever you said, 'Where will that vehicle abide?'" to "It does not abide anywhere in an immovable manner." The non-abiding of all dharmas is apprehended in the manner of the non-abiding of the dharmadhatu, which is the path of familiarity with the non-apprehension of things, and this path of meditation is the antidote to the first kind of conceptualization of what is apprehended. Sixth, from "Rabjor, whatever you said, 'By whom will that vehicle arise?'" to "The unmixed dharmas of the Buddhas are not apprehended." Here, the non-apprehension of the Perfection of Generosity, etc., is the path of familiarity. This path of meditation is the antidote to the second kind of conceptualization of what is apprehended. Aspiration, from "Because of being extremely pure, the stream-enterer," to "If one closely grasps extreme purity." Here, the non-apprehension of the real existence of persons such as stream-enterers is the path of familiarity.

E! This path of meditation is the antidote to the first conceptual thought of clinging. The eighth is from what is called the fruit of stream-entry, up to the point of abiding in the state of omniscience. Here, not observing the stream-enterer individuals, etc., who are nominally established by the fruit of stream-entry, etc., is the path of habituation. This path of meditation is the antidote to the second conceptual thought of clinging. That is the collection of antidotes. After showing the proof of the collection, with the mastery of omniscience, the mastery of showing the proof of liberation up to completion will be shown. Purposeful action and equality, benefiting sentient beings and effortless, and supreme liberation, the characteristic of attainment is liberation, omniscience, and having the sphere of activity of the path of liberation. These eight natures are called the proof of liberation. Thus it is said. Among them, the nature of the Mahayana is explained. It will be explained, why is it called Mahayana? Because it overcomes the world and will surely be liberated. Why is it called Mahayana? Because it is equal to space, it awakens all sentient beings, it is free from going, coming, and abiding, and it is the equality of the three times. Here, the world is the three realms. Because it is far beyond it, it is supreme. That is also the Dharma of the nine types of individuals. What are the nine? Namely, the lineage ground, the eighth, the stream-enterer, the once-returner, the non-returner, the Arhat, the Pratyekabuddha, the Bodhisattva, and the Buddha. That is also for all sentient beings. The Mahayana, because it is equal to space, is the supreme of all sentient beings. That is also the first sutra of liberation, Subhuti, if the first thought arises, it has been extensively explained before that, with the sutra of the first thought arising, etc., it is the great Bodhicitta, with the sutra such as the Wisdom Vajra, etc., it is the great realization.
