It is to focus the mind on tranquility. It is to skillfully settle the mind on agitation, which is called present settling. Supernormal abilities are supramundane dharmas. The foot of supernormal abilities is called so because it is a place. There are four of them: the samadhi of aspiration, the samadhi of diligence, the samadhi of mind, and the samadhi of investigation. Thus, some people generate the samadhi of the characteristic of one-pointedness of mind solely because their minds are strongly associated with desire. Some people, because their right exertion is extremely associated with diligence, abandon non-virtue and generate virtue. Some people's minds are completely subdued by reasons such as tranquility, focus, and equanimity. Some people ask themselves, "Why do I not constantly engage in even the smallest non-virtue?" "Why do I not constantly engage in anything?" Thus, complete investigation of oneself is correct and subtle investigation. When these arise and are completely bound, they become prolonged. In order to abandon latent tendencies, repeatedly initiating right exertion, the eight kinds of exertion manifest: desire, diligence, faith, pliancy, mindfulness, awareness, intention, and equanimity. Among these, when one intends to generate the samadhi of the mundane and supramundane, it is desire. Determinedly destroying all non-virtuous dharmas is diligence. Faith is to generate realization of the guru's dharma. Its precursor is pliancy. Among these, mindfulness is an aspect of awareness. Awareness is an aspect of insight. Among these, the mind's present action is intention. Absence of afflictions is equanimity. Therefore, one cultivates the foot of supernormal abilities, which possesses the exertion of abandoning the samadhi of desire, etc. Solitude is from afflictions. Freedom from attachment is freedom from attachment to existence. Cessation is suffering. Revealing and liberating from these is suffering, which relies on these. Therefore, cultivate complete accomplishment. Because of supreme mastery, it is called power, which refers to the five: faith, etc.

O! Because one becomes the master of generating and attaining the Dharma that transcends the world, it is called the root. These are the root of faith, the root of diligence, the root of mindfulness, the root of samadhi, and the root of wisdom. Because seeing the signs of possessing miraculous feet, one will definitely develop a special certainty later. Therefore, having faith in the realization of the teacher and the hearers is the root of faith here. Because faith increases, diligence and so on also increase, so it becomes the five roots. When cultivating the roots in this way, in order not to be overcome by unfavorable factors such as demons, it goes from the power of faith to the power of wisdom. Bodhi is the path of seeing that realizes things as they are, which is complete Bodhi, from mindfulness as a branch of perfect enlightenment to equanimity as a branch of perfect enlightenment. Among them, the discrimination of Dharma, diligence, and joy are aspects of higher vision. Pliancy, samadhi, and equanimity are aspects of calm abiding. Mindfulness is an aspect of both. By obtaining these, one sees for oneself that the afflictions to be abandoned by the path of seeing have been abandoned. In order to abandon what is to be abandoned by the path of cultivation, one cultivates the eightfold noble path, which is summarized into the three aggregates. Among them, right view, right thought, and right effort are the aggregate of wisdom. Right speech, right action, and right livelihood are the aggregate of morality. Right mindfulness and right samadhi are the aggregate of samadhi. The noble ones are the learners. They generate this noble path of learning in order to abandon all afflictions and to realize liberation. Therefore, these are the eight branches of the noble ones, so it is the eightfold noble path. These are the four mindfulnesses and so on, divided into seven categories, each of which is in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment, becoming the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment. Bodhi is the wisdom of knowing exhaustion and non-arising. What is in accordance with it is the aspects of enlightenment. The so-called "three samadhis" are
