"Because consciousness is infinite," it means that one has closely attained and abides in the sphere of infinite consciousness. How to transcend this? It means that by whatever consciousness one is devoted to the infinity of space, one is liberated from that very infinity, because in all aspects one can reject the thought of space. One has completely transcended the sphere of infinite consciousness in all aspects, meaning that one has closely attained and abides in the sphere of nothingness, which means that by seeking upwards from the sphere of infinite consciousness, one does not see any object of focus, and thus focuses on nothingness itself and enters into equipoise. One has completely transcended the sphere of nothingness in all aspects, meaning that one has closely attained and abides in the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, which means that one is also detached from the thought of nothingness and can also reject that thought, because one has already rejected the thought of nothingness, and thus it is without thought. Only subtle thoughts arise, therefore it is neither non-perception. Whoever closely holds the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception is spoken of in this way. When bodhisattvas enter into equipoise daily in those eight samadhis and formless absorptions, before and after entering into equipoise, they contemplate the aspect of space, its signs, and its characteristics. In that, the statement that all these dharmas are neither possessed nor not possessed is the aspect of space, because it does not admit difference or non-difference. The statement that it is formless, invisible, and unobstructed is the sign of space, because it is in accordance with that dharma nature. The statement that it is without characteristics and is of one characteristic is the characteristic of space, because it appears as the characteristic of emptiness like space. If one practices the perfection of generosity, at that time, if one shares all roots of virtue with all sentient beings and dedicates them to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, then it becomes the perfection of generosity. If one practices the perfection of discipline, then permanently abandoning the thinking of shravakas and so on is the perfection of discipline. Likewise, the remaining ones are

It should be understood by following the six parts. Samadhi and formless attainments are also like that. The entry of the six perfections is as stated in the sutras. Entering the path is also as stated in the sutras, and the various classifications of the path will also be explained in detail from the collection of paths. When explaining the entry into the immeasurable, it is immeasurable because it is aimed at immeasurable beings. That is, there are four: loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. Among them, the thought of having true happiness is loving-kindness. The thought of being free from suffering is compassion. The thought of not being separated from happiness is joy. The thought of not being associated with afflictions at all is equanimity. Alas, may all beings have happiness, may they be free from suffering, may they not be separated from happiness, and may they be liberated from afflictions. These four, on the ground of acting with faith and desire, are aimed at sentient beings. For the seven, such as extreme joy, the object is the Dharma. For those higher than that, there is no object. The phrase "with a loving heart" shows that it possesses qualities. The rest shows the qualities. The term "vast" shows great thought. The term "great" means increase. The term "immeasurable" is from the object. The term "non-dual" is because it does not discriminate with the unique self-nature. The term "unparalleled" is because it has abandoned inconsistent aspects. Among them, the inconsistent aspects of loving-kindness, etc., are, in order, harmful intent, harm, displeasure, subsequent attachment, and anger. The term "without slackness" is because sleep and drowsiness are calmed. The term "without obscuration" is because agitation and regret are calmed. The term "without harm" is because those three themselves make the mind free from defilement. The term "following all" is because one correctly enters into the three: friends, enemies, and neutrals. The term "thoroughly cultivated" means being equal to the three in the manner described above.
