Accomplishment for Bodhisattvas. Also, for other reasons, it is said, "all dharmas," and so on. Therefore, the word "because of what" is the cause. Absence of conceptualization is absence of consciousness; therefore, it is absence of attachment itself. Absence of discrimination is absence of manifest clinging. Therefore, it is indeed complete absence. Therefore, because of being free from discrimination, all dharmas should be known as without effort. Therefore, also because of having no effort at all, wisdom is ultimately accomplished, and that is the basis for wisdom entering without effort. Because the realm of dharma has no distinction, lineages cannot be different. Like this it is said, because of what is the realm of dharma called lineage? Because everything is of one taste, therefore there is no difference. Because it is not different, this is the lineage of the Hearers, this is the lineage of the Buddhas, this is the lineage of the Perfectly Complete Buddhas, thus lineages cannot be different, if it is said like that. By the distinctions of the dependent dharmas, its distinctions are completely proclaimed. Like this it is said is accepted. What is the realm of the basis of all the Hearers' dharmas, that is its lineage. What is for the Solitary Buddhas, and what is for the Perfectly Complete Buddhas, it is the same. For example, although there is no difference in pots, some are pots of sesame oil, some are pots of honey. Having spoken of the basis of accomplishment, its object should be spoken of, that is, the object is all dharmas, and that is also virtue and so on. The realization of worldly beings and, those who desire to be beyond the world, defiled and undefiled dharmas and, those which are conditioned and unconditioned, the common dharmas of disciples and, those which are not common to the Sage. Like this it is proclaimed, virtue and so on, that is, virtue and non-virtue and, what is not declared. Because it is to be realized, it is realization, it is the meaning of virtue. The realization of the worldly and the transcendent, is the realization of the worldly and the transcendent. Those are two aggregates, the remainder is easy to realize. The explanation of these should be known to be indicated from the sutra itself. Blessed One, what are all dharmas?

It is said from "action" to "because it is without discrimination and without discrimination, it should be accepted." The so-called "thirty-seven dharmas of the path to enlightenment," here, enlightenment refers to the enlightenment of perfect and complete enlightenment, so it is unique. After explaining the goal of practice, what is to be done for that purpose will be explained. At that time, starting from "Subhuti's question," etc., it means that if someone asks, how is a Bodhisattva called a Mahasattva? The Blessed One taught, starting from "the head of the great mass of beings," etc. The thought of wanting to become the head of the great mass of beings is the mind here, because the general term is also used to express the special. Because this has three great minds, it is a "Mahasattva." What are the three great things? Namely, the great mind, the great renunciation, and the great realization, as stated in the sutra. Among them, the great mind is what the Blessed One said, "the mind like a diamond," etc. After that, in order to abandon all views, it is declared, which is the great renunciation, which is what Shariputra asked. After that, there is no attachment to Bodhicitta, etc., which is the great realization, which the Venerable Subhuti has shown before the words of many saints. Therefore, it is said: "The best of all beings, mind, renunciation, and realization, these three great natures, act for this purpose." It means that this is for the Bodhisattvas. Because it is a special effort, it is "acting for this purpose," that is, striving to achieve it. It should be known that this is what is done to achieve self-nature. If someone asks, what is the most supreme of all beings? Answer: It should be achieved through three great things. What are the three great things? Namely, mind, renunciation, and realization. Therefore, because it is related to them, it is also great. Therefore, the one who is a Bodhisattva is also great. Therefore, it is called a "Mahasattva." After explaining the basis, goal, and purpose of practice, the practice will be explained.

Thus it is. Here, the venerable one has shown the occasion for donning armor and engaging in practice. The mind that wears great armor is a great hero, implicitly gathering the words in between. This is the first. To truly enter the Great Vehicle and truly abide in the Great Vehicle is a great hero, this is the second. Armor is donned because everything is closely gathered, like an army donning armor. To have everything closely abiding in each and every one is great armor. The venerable Shariputra spoke with "how much" and so forth in between. The venerable one spoke from "in this" and so forth, to "thus" and so forth. This also, abiding in individual giving and so forth is called abiding in a non-abiding manner, because one sees the agent and the action as being like illusions. These have spoken of closely abiding in the Perfection of Wisdom. To act for the sake of enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings means to have the intention of possessing all-knowingness. These three show close abiding. Thus, one does not act with the intention of hearers and so forth, and whatever is completely abandoned is the Perfection of Discipline. Whoever has the intention of all-knowingness, patience, desire, and close practice towards them are the characteristics of faith, joy, and respect, that is the Perfection of Patience. Whoever has a firm mind towards them and does not distinguish the occasion for the intention of hearers and so forth, that is the Perfection of Meditation. Thus, I also should perfect the perfections and all sentient beings should also be established in them, it is intended to dedicate it together with all sentient beings. Here, this shows two close abidings, thus, giving the perfections to all sentient beings with the nature of being common to all sentient beings is the Perfection of Giving. Here, delighting in great giving is the Perfection of Diligence. That much is the general characteristic.
