The nine successive absorptions, the ten pervasive spheres, the eight spheres of overcoming, the samadhi without afflictions, the knowledge following aspiration, the four analytical knowledges, the four complete purities, the ten powers, the ten strengths, the four fearlessnesses, the three protections, the three mindfulnesses, the nature of not forgetting, the complete destruction of habits, great compassion, the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, and the all-knowingness are thus. The Dharmakaya is said to be the collection of dharmas, whose nature is the essence of the Buddhas. Or, it shows the nature of the body of dharmas, the essence of the characteristics, and also proclaims those dharmas, thus it is said to proclaim the Dharmakaya, and concludes with this. Because the object of the previous sentence becomes the main thing, the Dharmata-kaya is the Dharmakaya, which means the Svabhavikakaya. Thus, the praise of the Dharmakaya as "neither one nor many" is reasonable. Others say that the body of those dharmas themselves is the fourth body of the Buddhas, and if so, the four bodies spoken of in other ways are well spoken. This is not true. Because the Bhagavati-mata Sutra and other sutras also say "there are also three other bodies" and other statements. The four bodies in the Tantric tradition are also in a different way, body, speech, and mind are the three bodies, and the fourth is the activity or equality of those. Thus, by which body are those dharmas included? By the Svabhavikakaya, because they are free from all confusion, are the nature of clarity, and are merely the nature of Dharma. The difference in their characteristics is conventional truth following the state of the cause. Enough of elaboration. Therefore, the Svabhavikakaya is spoken of from the first sentence "there is also" to "should be learned," and to this, the Bhagavan himself, regarding the aspects of enlightenment, etc.

Everything, along with names and excellent signs, and among the things that are collected, will be explained as the giving of Dharma that transcends the world. I will also extensively show meditation, entering into the formless, entering into the immeasurable, and the accumulation of the path, so these should be known extensively. The characteristics of being without afflictions and knowing according to aspiration will also be explained there. What is the fruit of those Hearers, and what is the fruit of the Buddha Bhagavan? The Hearer seems to be without afflictions, but in reality, afflictions are not completely abandoned. The Victorious Ones, in towns and so on, cut off the stream of afflictions, but are actually without afflictions. The Buddha's knowing according to aspiration is spontaneously accomplished, abandoning attachment, without obstruction, constantly abiding, and answering all questions. These two verses declare: The Hearer's being without afflictions is that for beings in towns and so on, if seeing them would cause afflictions to arise, they think it should not be so and prevent seeing them, but in reality, they do not directly cut off afflictions. The Tathagata's being without afflictions is that although there is seeing them, they cut off the stream of their afflictions, but in reality, they do not not see. The Buddha's knowing according to aspiration, being spontaneously accomplished, is because of being without conceptualization. Being without attachment is because of being without dependence. Being without obstruction is because of being without obstruction in all places. Constantly abiding is because of constantly abiding in equality. Answering all questions is because of being able to answer all questions. The Hearers' prevention is prevention. After the continuum has completely matured, to whomever, wherever, with whatever, whenever an action is beneficial, then to that one, in that place, that one appears. For that one, in that place, beneficial deeds are done. That which is called "that" is the Buddha of the nature body. That which appears at that time is the appearance of the emanation body. Why does everything not appear to everyone? Just as when the king of gods rains, unsuitable seeds do not sprout. Likewise, although the Buddhas have appeared, those without fortune do not see the good.
