Therefore, because of the absence of the sixth perfection, even the names of the five perfections cannot be obtained. Thus, the enlightenment of the Buddha, which can be obtained through the six perfections, cannot be obtained, and one will fall into samsara. The statement, "There is also peace, because the clinging to substance is invisible," is a conceptualization of inferior realization. If these five are completely and correctly grasped by the sixth, they cannot be shaken by demons and the like. The statement, "If there is no sixth, then that (five) does not exist," is a conceptualization of the absence of complete grasping. If these (five) are subdued by the sixth, it is difficult to be overcome by demons and the like. The statement, "If there is no sixth, then that (five) does not exist," is a conceptualization of the flawed aspect of the method of practice. The word "condition" means dependence. It should also be understood that it must be determined that "it is only dependent on other conditions, and not on one's own continuum." Therefore, the statement, "These (five) attain great enlightenment, only dependent on the sixth, and not without the sixth," is a conceptualization of going by other conditions. Just as the water of the Ganges River merges other tributaries into the ocean, in order to proceed to the enlightenment of the Buddha, the sixth of these five is essential. The statement, "If there is no sixth, then that (five) does not exist," is a conceptualization of the reversal of what is essential. The sixth is universally applicable, while these five are only one-sided. Therefore, even if without the sixth, the substance of the person is invisible, only the afflictive obscurations can be exhausted, but not the obscurations of knowledge. The statement, "It is not so," is a conceptualization of the one-sided. The five are integrated into the sixth, because the sixth and the five are of the same taste, therefore the perfection itself can be obtained. Therefore, these (five) are not different from the sixth, and the statement, "If there is no sixth, it will become other," is a conceptualization of the manifold. For example, the army of a universal monarch, without the wheel jewel going and stopping, there would be no dwelling and entering, because they themselves do not know. Similarly, because the sixth is omniscient, if one goes and dwells in it, the five will follow the sixth, and the statement, "If there is no sixth, then that (five) does not exist," is about dwelling and entering.

It is the discrimination of ignorance. Like having eyes, the sixth one, because it is the all-knowing of all aspects, goes ahead, and later, like a blind person, is led by the five. If there is no sixth one, it will not walk. This is called the subsequent discrimination, because the cause is closely attributed to the result. These are the nine aspects of the second, the apprehended discrimination. What are the nine aspects of the first, the apprehending discrimination? "Grasping and separately abandoning, attention and the elements, all three are closely related, abiding and manifest attachment, establishing things as objects of dharma, attachment and the antidote, as desired, the state of going, know that the first is grasping." It is said that grasping onto the nine dharmas such as grasping and separately abandoning is the discrimination of substance, which are the nine kinds of apprehending discrimination. Since those are abandoned by the noble ones, they are the dharmas of ordinary beings. The antidote to those is the sixth one, as it is in the sutra, which is non-discrimination. Therein, the question, "Bhagavan," etc., up to "neither grasping nor abandoning," is the discrimination of grasping and abandoning, and it is said to be together with the antidote side. The question, "Bhagavan," etc., up to "attain enlightenment," is the discrimination of attention. The question, "Bhagavan," etc., up to "not mixing with any dharma," is the discrimination of being closely related to all three realms. The question, "Bhagavan," etc., up to "will not abide," is the discrimination of abiding. The question, "Bhagavan," etc., up to "practicing the Prajnaparamita," is the discrimination of manifest attachment. If again, etc., up to "that is not abiding," is the discrimination of establishing things. Then, the venerable one, etc., up to "is the practice," is the discrimination of attachment. The question, "Bhagavan," etc., up to "will abide," is the discrimination of the antidote. Subhuti, for example:
