Possessing wisdom is like a storehouse, in order to generate and hold inexhaustible water, and in order to hold and bestow heard and unheard Dharma and meanings in accordance with the Dharma. It has been explained from what is called the eastern direction to what is called the upper direction. Possessing the ability to teach the Dharma is like a pleasing sound, in order to make those who desire liberation hear a pleasing sound. The teachings and words spoken from the ten directions, such as the so-called eastern direction, show the four seals of Dharma. Here also, the Perfection of Wisdom is said to show the four seals of Dharma in all the realms of the ten directions. The four seals of Dharma are: all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, all contaminated phenomena are suffering, all phenomena are without self, and nirvana is peace. The meaning of river is a stream of water. Possessing a single path is like the continuation of a river, because if one obtains the forbearance of non-origination, it will arise naturally. The single path itself is because the actions of the Bodhisattvas belonging to it are not different. It has been explained from the ten directions, such as the east, with words such as blind and deaf. Here also, the Perfection of Wisdom is said to be the characteristic of the single path. Everything else is its fruit. Possessing skillful means is like a cloud, just as all the wealth of the vessel world arises from clouds. By showing ways such as residing in the Tushita heaven, one benefits all sentient beings, because everything depends on that way. It has been explained from what is called the conduct of the Tathagata to what is called the five objects of desire. These show the twenty-two types of generating the mind of enlightenment. Now the key instructions are to be spoken, the speaking in order to be able to understand is the key instruction, it is the instruction of the oral teachings of the perfect meaning. That also has ten ways according to the difference of places: practice and truths, the Three Jewels such as the Buddha, non-attachment, complete non-fatigue, complete holding of the path, and conduct.

The five supernormal knowledges and the clear knowing of, the six qualities and the path of seeing, and the instructions on what is called meditation, should be known as possessing ten characteristics. This is what was said. Practice is conduct. Where is it done? In the Perfection of Wisdom, because it is the appropriate occasion. It is also said thus, starting from "endowed with life" and so on, up to "if one practices thus, a Bodhisattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom." Below that, the benefits are shown, that is, from "giving the Dharma of the Buddha" and so on, it is said in the form of questions and answers. Here, the Perfection of Wisdom is non-conceptual wisdom, which is the antidote to the ten kinds of discursive thoughts that are distractions. What are those? Here, the verses are: Non-existent and existent, imputation and denial, oneness and otherness, self-nature and difference, name as it is meaning and, meaning as it is name, whatever discursive thoughts are distractions, that is explained as ten kinds. Among them, as an antidote to the discursive thought of non-existence, it is said, "The Bodhisattva himself exists," meaning that the Bodhisattva exists in the manner of the Dharma-nature. As an antidote to the discursive thought of existence, it is said, "One does not truly see Bodhisattvas, etc.," meaning that one does not perceive them closely. This is because it prevents the existence of persons and things. If the emptiness of form, etc., is the Dharma-nature, then form, etc., would also become existent. Therefore, as an antidote to the discursive thought of imputation, it is said, "Bodhisattva," etc. Bodhisattva, etc., are what is expressed by words. Self-nature is the self-nature of Bodhisattva, etc., which is empty of it, therefore it is not observable. If it is not there, then emptiness would also not exist, therefore, as an antidote to this denial, it is said, "by nature," etc. Here also, self-nature is of three kinds: all phenomena are completely imputed, and dependent on others, and perfectly

It is the Pariniṣpanna. That which exists as it appears is not the Parikalpita. Whatever is without self-nature but exists in the manner of appearance, that is dependent on others because it is dependent origination. The first makes the second empty and separate, that is the Pariniṣpanna, because it is the nature of permanence. Also, in this regard, the Blessed One taught the Parikalpita, the Paratantra, and the Dharmata in order. Likewise, it will also be taught from the occasion of the act, there are three kinds of nature, namely, the nature of the Parikalpita, the nature of the Paratantra, and the nature of the Dharmata, and so on. Therefore, what is said as 'this' is the form of the Paratantra. What is said as 'this' is empty of the form of the Parikalpita. What is said as 'self-nature' is because it always exists in that itself. What is said as 'like this' is because of what. What is said as 'emptiness' is empty of the nature of the Parikalpita. What is said as 'form' is the form of the Paratantra, it is not emptiness because emptiness always exists in this. Likewise, it should be connected up to consciousness. If that and that both are of the same nature, then, as an antidote to the imputation that those two are one, it is said that the emptiness of form is not form, etc., meaning that they are not one by way of difference in characteristics. If they are not one, but are different, then, as an antidote to the imputation that they are different, it is said that form is not other than emptiness, etc., saying that it is not other means that it is not different. It is intended that the nature of Dharma is not other than Dharma. That which is said as 'that' is oneness. What is said as 'because of what' is a question. In reply, it is said 'form' etc. Here, what is said as 'form' is the form of Dharmata. Likewise, connect up to consciousness. The emptiness of form etc. and the form of Dharmata are mutually one, it is intended that there is no difference in characteristics. What is said as 'why is that' etc.
