Whatever is done is the complete dedication of the roots of virtue of the Buddhas, which is the complete dedication of remembering the self-nature. The sutra begins with "Said by Maitreya" and ends with "Thorny Dedication." The skillful means is to dedicate merit through the Perfection of Wisdom. Therefore, the dedication without object and without characteristics is the dedication of skillful means. The sutra begins with "Now, for example" and ends with "Should not be practiced." Just as food with excellent color, taste, and smell is mixed with poison, so is the dedication with characteristics. Therefore, that dedication is the dedication without characteristics. The sutra begins with "Said by Subhuti" and ends with "Without poison and reaching the limit of nectar." Just as the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, know what kind of virtuous qualities of the supreme Buddha's wisdom are, what their nature is, what their characteristics are, and what their dharma nature is, so do I rejoice accordingly. Just as the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, rejoice in whatever is dedicated to the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, so do I dedicate it, which is the dedication approved by all the Buddhas. The sutra begins with "Furthermore" and ends with "Should be dedicated to the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment." Just as it does not belong to all three realms, similarly, that which does not belong to all dharmas is neither past, nor future, nor present. Whatever is like this, without things, that which is without things also cannot be dedicated by without things, which is the dedication that does not belong to the three realms. The other three dedications, which are the nature of great merit arising, are of three kinds: small, medium, and large. The sutra begins with "Then the Bhagavat" and ends with "Called unsurpassed." The principle of no characteristics and the object

The principle of non-existence and non-otherness is called Suchness, which is the principle of non-attachment. The merit dedicated by this is that if the sentient beings of the three-thousand-great-thousand world system obtain the ten virtues, the four dhyanas, the four immeasurables, the formless absorptions, and the five supernormal cognitions, the merit from the principal to the unsurpassed is the small dedication that produces great merit. The sutra starts from "Furthermore, Subhuti" and ends with "The merit of the dedication dedicated by the non-attached dedication increases greatly." If all the sentient beings of the three-thousand-great-thousand world system become Pratyekabuddhas, and if someone serves and honors them with all necessities for the duration of their lives, the merit of the dedication dedicated by the non-attached dedication increases greatly compared to that. This is the medium dedication that produces great merit. The sutra starts from "Furthermore, Subhuti" and ends with "honored and venerated." If all the sentient beings of the three-thousand-great-thousand world system become Bodhisattvas, and in each of the ten directions, sentient beings of worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River honor each Bodhisattva with all necessities and comforts for as many kalpas as there are sands in the Ganges River, the merit of those dedications is not even close to one-hundredth of the merit dedicated by the non-attached dedication, and even the cause cannot be endured. This is the great dedication that produces great merit. If the sentient beings of the three-thousand-great-thousand world system all become Bodhisattvas, the accumulation of merit arising from their dedication with focus is not even close to one-hundredth of the merit of the dedication of a Bodhisattva who does not focus, and even the cause cannot be endured. From "Then the Four Great Kings" etc., to "unsurpassed."

Completed. Having thus explained the contemplation of complete dedication, the contemplation of rejoicing should be expressed. In this regard, the sutra begins with "Then, the venerable Subhuti" and extends to "Then, the son of Sharadvati, the venerable Shariputra." Its meaning is: With skillful means and non-objectification, Rejoicing in the roots of virtue, Rejoicing accordingly is contemplation, Here it is said to be meditation. It is said that whatever rejoicing in the roots of virtue is done with skillful means and non-objectification, that is the contemplation of rejoicing accordingly, which is meditation here. Therefore, there are two aspects: rejoicing accordingly through the gate of non-objectification, which starts from not taking and not abandoning those roots of virtue, and extends to "Thus, after I rejoice accordingly, I shall completely dedicate it to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment." Rejoicing accordingly through the gate of skillful means is for those who have newly entered the Great Vehicle, like liberation, towards such roots of virtue, and such Buddhas, etc., and all such dharmas, just as I rejoice accordingly, so too should it be completely dedicated to perfect and complete enlightenment. Subhuti, the second "of" is said to be that itself is a superior merit. This is the contemplation of rejoicing accordingly. After explaining the three contemplations of the worldly path of meditation, the supramundane path of meditation is what was previously explained as accomplishment and extreme purity. Among them, with regard to accomplishment, it is said: Its very nature is supreme, It does not manifestly gather in all, Dharmas without objectification, Establishing is of great meaning. Its, refers to the path. The very nature is the Prajnaparamita. Because it has transcended conceptualization, it is wisdom. Starting from "Bhagavan, the Prajnaparamita is for the sake of extreme purity," and extending to "Bhagavan, the Prajnaparamita is for the sake of the emptiness of the nature of non-things, the nature of all dharmas is also emptiness," is the nature.
