Merit increases greatly. Because all the Buddhas abiding in the three times attained enlightenment by learning from this, this is the seventh. If someone extensively speaks about the six perfections to others with attachment for countless eons, up to truly showing them, it is better to completely abandon artificiality in a non-attached way until the end of life. The latter generates more merit than the former. Not fixating on things like, "I give alms, this is alms, it should be given to others," is a non-attached focus. For the perfections, the complete purification of the three spheres is non-attachment. Completely abandoning artificiality regarding impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness is the eighth. If someone establishes beings equal to the sands of the Ganges River in each of the ten directions in the fruit of stream-entry, it is better if someone extensively speaks to others about the meaning and words of this, up to truly showing it, and from "reciting this" to the exhortation to "strive diligently." The latter generates more merit than the former, because stream-enterers will arise from this (teaching). This is respect and the ninth. If someone establishes the beings of Jambudvipa in the fruit of once-returning, this is the first praise. Establishing them in the fruit of non-returning is the second. If someone establishes beings in the realms equal to the sands of the Ganges River in each of the ten directions in the state of arhatship, it is better if someone speaks to others about the meaning and words of this, up to exhorting them to "strive diligently." This itself generates much more merit than the former, this is the third. If someone from the ten directions up to establishing (beings) in the enlightenment of a solitary buddha, and someone extensively speaks about its meaning and words to those who seek it, up to exhorting them to "strive diligently," the latter generates extremely more merit than the former, this is the fourth. If someone establishes all the beings of Jambudvipa in perfect and complete enlightenment,

The exhortation is: From whoever makes this meaningful and literate until diligently do it, however diligently it is done, it will be closer to perfect complete enlightenment, this is the fifth (kind of merit). All sentient beings of the continents, this is the sixth (kind of merit). The thousand worlds, this is the seventh (kind of merit). Whoever from the ten directions exhorts perfect complete enlightenment until between, this is the eighth (kind of merit). Whoever from the ten directions places on the irreversible ground between, whoever with all those, or to a single irreversible Bodhisattva speaks and teaches, from speaking meaningfully and literately, extensively speaking and teaching until between, that increases the merit much more than before, this is the ninth praise. Thus, in order to generate the joy of the Bodhisattva, praising, respecting, and extolling the parts, in that way, the Bodhisattva also becomes more special, and in that way, he should be greatly followed and respected with Dharma and wealth, because the Three Jewels are revealed by the Bodhisattva. In order to show this meaning, from then on, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, and so on, from then on, the Bodhisattva Maitreya until above, it is said. Thus, after showing the faith and intention with benefits and merits, the dedication intention is: The complete dedication has special qualities, the practice of this is the most excellent. It is a formless form, and its nature is non-inverted. Solitude and the accumulation of Buddha's merit, are the objects of self-nature mindfulness. Having skillful means and being without characteristics, as well as rejoicing after the Buddha, not belonging to the three realms, small, medium, and large, the other three kinds of dedication, are the nature of great merit arising. Thus it is said. The sutra begins from the great Bodhisattva Maitreya, until between unequal and equal. The meaning of this is that the complete dedication of the Bodhisattva's merit is superior to the accumulation of merit of all the lesser vehicles.

Differentiation is the act of distinguishing, from the excellent and supreme to the unequal and equal. By what method? It is because of dedicating to perfect enlightenment after making it common with all sentient beings. Therefore, this differentiates with that, hence it is differentiation. The dedication by that is a special dedication. Why is that? From "Why is that?" etc., to the ultimate of "dedication" etc., that is its function. The sutra starts from "Then, venerable Subhuti" etc., to "should dedicate to perfect enlightenment." Regarding the past and present Tathagatas and their Shravakas, and the gods and humans who have faith in them, whatever roots of virtue they have, rejoicing in them, and the object of merit possessed by rejoicing in them, to what enlightenment with what mind is dedicated, whatever mind clings to that as real, and whatever is the object, that is, the dedication of clinging, all of that is dedicated without object because it is non-existent as its own nature. Dedicating without object is dedicating without object. The sutra starts from "What Maitreya said" etc., to "dedicating to the unsurpassed." Because all of those are non-existent, not by characteristics, not by manifest clinging, therefore it is the non-inverted dedication. The sutra starts from "If" etc., to "the Prajnaparamita of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva." All of those are empty of their own nature, thus all dharmas, dedicating with the mind of emptiness is the dedication of emptiness. The sutra starts from "Furthermore" etc., up to before "What Maitreya said." All the past roots of virtue of all the Buddhas of the ten directions in the past and present and their Shravakas etc., that is separated from exhaustion and cessation, all conditioned dharmas such as the dedication of merit are also the nature of that, thus remembering the nature of the accumulation of merit of becoming a Buddha and dedicating etc. all the
