It is also called "Sava." The cessation of perception and feeling also dwells in accordance with liberation. Relying on the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, the mind and mental factors are ceased. Because of abandoning its obscurations, it is also called liberation, that is, dwelling in peace. The so-called nine successive meditative absorptions are the four dhyanas, the four formless absorptions, and the cessation of perception and feeling. The ten powers of the Tathagata are: the power of knowing what is and is not the case; the power of knowing the maturation of karma; the power of knowing various realms; the power of knowing various inclinations; the power of knowing the superior and inferior faculties; the power of knowing the path that leads everywhere; the power of knowing the defilement, purification, and arising of dhyana, liberation, samadhi, and meditative absorption; the power of knowing the recollection of past lives; the power of knowing death and birth; and the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements. Their characteristics are as described in the order of the sutras. The so-called thoroughly knowing what is the case and what is not the case, that is, the undesirable maturation from misdeeds is the case, and the desirable is not the case. The desirable from good deeds is the case, and the undesirable is not the case. Stinginess leading to poverty is the case, and great wealth is not the case. Giving leading to great wealth is the case, and becoming poor is not the case. Immoral conduct leading to birth in the lower realms is the case, and happiness is not the case. Moral conduct leading to birth in the higher realms is the case, and the lower realms are not the case. Thus, thoroughly knowing what is the case and what is not the case, that is, with pure, unattached, and unobstructed wisdom, knowing things as they are for that very reason, is non-perverted. Therefore, it is called purity itself. Repeating "what and what is true" is to show non-attachment. The so-called "in what and what ways is it true" means that because of knowing all ways, it is unobstructed.

It has been declared. Wisdom itself is power, because it is never overcome by others, and it can always overwhelm others. The term "past" and so on, here the so-called "place and cause" means together with place and cause. In which direction does one do that deed, that is the place. The cause of the Hearers and so on, that is the deed, that is, together with the continuum. Vipāka is happiness and suffering and so on. "Various realms" means what is declared. "Multiple realms" means what is declared accordingly. Realm is superior intention, that is, it produces merit and non-merit and immovability and so on. Named "various inclinations", here the desire is inclination. For example, abiding in attachment also inclines to hatred, and abiding in hatred also inclines to attachment and so on. Named "the order of faculties", it refers to the difference of the faculties such as faith. This is dull faculty, this is medium faculty, this is sharp faculty, this is no faculty and so on. Knowing the path that goes everywhere, here the Bodhisattva knows whether the realm of sentient beings is real or unreal, that is, knowing and showing the path that is in accordance with them, and if he knows it is inverted, then he abandons it in accordance with abandonment. This is the path that is the antidote to desire, this is the path that is the antidote to hatred and so on. Regarding meditation and liberation and samādhi and. Concerning the defilement and purification and rising from absorption of absorption. Meditation is fourfold. Liberation is eightfold. Samādhi is threefold, that is, with investigation and with analysis and so on. Absorption is the four formless absorptions and the nine successive abidings. Defilement and so on, of which defilement is tasting. Purification is non-objectification and so on. Rising from absorption is the lion's leap or forceful transcendence. The remaining three are as stated in the Sutra. What is reasonably spoken of as being extremely fearless like a lion is fearlessness, its entity or function is that itself. Fearlessness.
