It is not to be studied for the sake of abandoning, not for the sake of detachment, not for the sake of cessation, not for the sake of elimination. The suchness of all dharmas has no exhaustion, no detachment, no cessation, no elimination. If one studies in this way, it is studying suchness. One studies from the pāramitā to the state of omniscience. Studying in this way, from obtaining the most excellent pāramitā of all studies, to crossing over by the mental conduct of all sentient beings, is called the ninth increase. Request. The words "Bhagavan," etc., up to the words "crossing over," are all that was spoken. Just as on the great earth, the place where gold comes from the Jambu River (Sanskrit Devanagari: जम्बु, Sanskrit Romanization: jambu, Chinese literal meaning: Jambudvipa, Jambudvipa) is rare, so too are sentient beings who study the Prajñāpāramitā extremely rare. Abiding in the Śrāvakabhūmi, etc., is called the tenth increase. Subhūti, for example, etc., up to the words "extremely many," are all that was spoken. Those sentient beings who, not separated from the Prajñāpāramitā, therefore abide in the ground of non-retrogression are extremely few, and those who do not abide are extremely many, which is called the eleventh increase. Subhūti, for example, etc., up to the words "should be studied," are all that was spoken. Here, by practice, one does not generate a mind stained with the impurities of desire, hatred, and delusion, which are contrary to the Prajñāpāramitā, which is called the twelfth increase. Subhūti, furthermore, etc., up to the words "does not generate mind," are all that was spoken. They are not associated with form, etc., up to not generating a mind associated with perfect enlightenment. They are without object, which is called the thirteenth increase. Associated with what, etc., up to the words "all are gathered," are all that was spoken. Just as the sixty-two views are gathered in the view of the aggregate of destruction, so all pāramitās in the Prajñāpāramitā, which is called the fourteenth increase. Subhūti, this

From "viewing" and so on, to everything said between "should be learned." The Blessed One has attained the state of accomplishing the perfect benefit of self and others, and does not manifest the fruit of the Lesser Vehicle, this is the fifteenth increase, that is, everything said from "Subhuti" and so on, to "manifestly realize enlightenment." Here, in the Prajnaparamita, the accomplishment of "the all-knowingness of suchness" is called unattainable, and by "from this" or "by what" or "by that" it will surely arise, by that it is unattainable, this is the sixteenth increase, that is, everything said from "Subhuti" and so on, to "is practice." Having thus proclaimed the increase, to make it stable and take charge, not abandoning the benefit of all sentient beings. The all-knowing Dharma has three aspects, The complete and unsurpassed Dharma nature, Is called stable and proclaimed. Thus it is said, the all-knowing Dharma has three aspects, namely the Dharmas of the Buddha, the self-arisen Dharmas, and the unseizable Dharmas, whoever is complete and unsurpassed, at that time does not abandon the benefit of sentient beings, is called stable. How is it not abandoning? Having crossed over oneself, one must liberate sentient beings who have not yet crossed over; having been liberated oneself, one must liberate sentient beings who have not yet been liberated; having exhaled oneself, one must cause sentient beings who have not yet exhaled to exhale; having attained parinirvana oneself, one must cause sentient beings who have not yet attained parinirvana to enter nirvana, thus it is said. From "the request of the Lord of the Gods, Indra" and so on, to everything said between "causing to enter nirvana." Having thus proclaimed stability, the mind abides in everything, and what was said earlier is also the only samadhi, therefore taking charge of samadhi. The four continents and a thousand kotis, Two thousand and three thousand are used as metaphors, By the power of many merits, That is the proclamation of all samadhis. Thus it is said, from the four continents to the three thousand great thousand worlds, as a standard of measurement, and so are the others, the oceans of one thousand, two thousand, and three thousand, dripping water with the tip of a hair divided into a hundred parts.
