The knowledge of Dharma regarding suffering, that which is said from "Whoever, Subhuti, also..." to "will enter without fault," that is its second characteristic. "Turning away from inferior vehicles," refers to the forbearance of subsequent knowledge of suffering. That which is said from "From then on, venerable Subhuti..." to "cannot be turned away from perfect and complete enlightenment," that is its third characteristic. "The complete exhaustion of the limbs such as meditation," where the limbs such as meditation and the formless are the body. Its complete exhaustion is purity itself, the weakness of the power to attain detachment and so forth, that is the subsequent knowledge of suffering. That which is said from "Whoever, Subhuti, also..." to "should be known as irreversible," that is the fourth characteristic. "The lightness of body and mind," where the conduct with mindfulness and awareness is the lightness of the body, and "the body will not become heavy" and so forth, is the lightness of body and mind. These two are the forbearance of knowledge of Dharma regarding the origin. That which is said from "Whoever, Subhuti, also..." and so forth to "should be known as irreversible," that is its fifth characteristic. "Skillful means in enjoying desires," refers to the fact that in order to ripen sentient beings, the bodhisattva who is a householder enjoys desires with skillful means, this is the knowledge of Dharma regarding the origin. That which is said from "Whoever, Subhuti, also..." and so forth to "should be known as irreversible," that is the sixth characteristic of those. "Always practicing celibacy," refers to the fact that the bodhisattva who is a householder makes offerings by filling Jambudvipa and so forth with the seven precious things, and always practices celibacy, Vajrapani always follows behind, this is the forbearance of subsequent knowledge regarding the origin. That which is said from "Whoever, Subhuti, also..." and so forth to the second part of "should be known as irreversible," that is its seventh characteristic. "Living completely purely," refers to the origin.

It is to know after arising. From "What, Subhuti, also" etc., to "Know without regression" is said to be its eighth sign. Skandha etc., what is included by the word 'etc.', combination is quiescence and subsequent combination, that is, vipashyana. Combination and subsequent combination, abiding is the object of mind, that is, complete cessation. For whom is it? For skandha etc., first paying attention and not focusing, that is, the abiding of the combination and subsequent combination of skandha etc., like this and so on. Regarding this, the separate cessation of the abiding of the combination and subsequent combination of skandha etc., that is the proof of emptiness, why is that? Because it is said "What" etc. That is the forbearance of knowing the Dharma of cessation, from "What, Subhuti, also" etc., to "No longer truly seeing" is its ninth sign. Obstructors refer to the Dharma of the unfavorable side, because it is the same Dharma as the thief and is the object of discussion, so the talk of the thief that is spoken is knowing the Dharma of cessation, that is, from "Talk of the thief" etc., to "No longer truly seeing" is its tenth sign. Assembly refers to the word of the army, it is the assembly of the opposing side. That is the forbearance of knowing after cessation, that is, from "Talk of the army" etc., to "No longer truly seeing" is its tenth and eleventh sign. The battle with power etc., the battle refers to the battle of the favorable side and the opposing side etc., if there is battle then cessation will be obtained. The consciousness appearing as body, place and enjoyment, the extreme cessation is cessation. Among them, the body is the city of the senses, therefore it is said with the word of the city. The support of the body is the place, therefore it is said with the word of the city. Enjoyment is the object.
