The arising of the knowledge of truth in others is forbearance. What is said from "I should also know suffering" to "abiding in a non-objective manner" is considered forbearance. Similarly, the supreme Dharma should be known by means of maturing sentient beings, etc. The so-called "maturing sentient beings" etc. is the supreme Dharma; relying on oneself and others, causing sentient beings to fully mature, etc. is the supreme Dharma. What is said from "I should also cause sentient beings to fully mature" to "attaining the forbearance of non-arising Dharma" is the supreme Dharma. Having thus explained what corresponds to the decisive part, in order to explain the non-retrogressing Sangha, therefore, starting from the limb of the decisive part, "In the paths of seeing and familiarization, whichever Bodhisattvas abide, they are the non-retrogressing assembly here." Thus it is said, those who correspond to the decisive part, and the Bodhisattvas in the paths of seeing and meditation, are the non-retrogressing Sangha in this Great Vehicle. What is said from "Thus it was declared" to "should be known" is that here, whether it is the ground of ordinary beings or the ground of the Tathagata, all of them are seen as inseparable from Suchness. Suchness exists in each individual, but if it does not exist in all, then it is not Suchness. The rest is easy to understand. That is the characteristic of non-retrogression. Turning away from form, etc. are signs. By stating twenty aspects, this is the characteristic of non-retrogression residing in the limb of the decisive part. Thus it is said, residing in what corresponds to the decisive part, knowing that this non-retrogressing nature has twenty signs, such as turning away from form, etc., and so on. What are the twenty signs? Turning away from form, etc., doubt, lack of leisure ceasing, one's own nature abiding in virtue, causing others to abide in it, having the reliance of others, such as generosity, etc., and also having no hesitation about the profound meaning, loving body, etc., and not associating with the five obscurations,

, and insects will not appear on the body. Without hypocrisy, subduing the mind, without stinginess and miserliness, etc., realizing the possession of Dharma nature, seeking hell for the benefit of sentient beings, not being seduced by others, knowing that the demon who guides other paths is a demon, is the practice that pleases the Buddha. These twenty are the signs, abiding in the warm position, the peak position, the forbearance position, and the supreme Dharma position, one will not regress from perfect enlightenment. Thus it is said. Regressing from form, etc., is regressing from the object of focus, because they have no self-nature. From "Whoever prays, Blessed One" to the absence of self-nature between "all-knowing," it is said, because it corresponds to the decisive part, so it is the first sign of non-regression. The second sign and other sutras begin with the words "Subhuti, again," and end with "should be known." The nineteenth sign is up to "If one thinks, this is not the place." Doubt and lack of leisure are exhausted, meaning doubt is exhausted and lack of leisure is exhausted. Among them, doubt is hesitation about the truth and the Three Jewels, and the so-called exhaustion refers to the second sign of these two. Wrong views, etc., are lack of leisure, and the so-called exhaustion refers to the third sign of these two. One's own abiding in virtue and guiding others to abide in virtue refers to the fourth sign of these two. Giving, etc., based on benefiting others, refers to the behavior of giving, etc., for the sake of all sentient beings, which refers to the fifth sign of these two. There is no doubt about the profound meaning, which refers to the sixth sign of these two. Loving the body, etc., refers to the actions of the body, etc., which refers to the seventh sign of these two. Obscuration is not associating with the five aspects. As the sutra says, not associating with the five obscurations refers to the eighth sign of these two. Destroying all latent tendencies refers to the ninth sign of these two. Mindfulness and awareness refer to awareness with mindfulness, which refers to the tenth sign of these two. Clean clothes, etc., refers to these two
