Explaining the merit arising from generosity: These three explain merit. The ninth explains the accumulation of wisdom. Possessing the aspects of enlightenment is like a great road, because all noble beings have gone and followed it. This is also explained through three verses beginning with "other." Here, the Prajñāpāramitā is the nature of the thirty-seven aspects of enlightenment. Everything else is explained as its fruit. Possessing śamatha and vipaśyanā is like a vehicle, because it can be easily carried. This is also explained from "Śrāvaka" etc., until wanting to see the fields of the departed Tathāgatas etc. Here, the Prajñāpāramitā is the nature of śamatha and vipaśyanā. Everything else is its fruit. Because this has water, it is water; in the sense of possessing, "a" should be added as a suffix. It is both an adornment and water, so it is the water of adornment. Possessing dhāraṇī and eloquence is like a pond, because it can generate water and hold inexhaustible water, and can remember and proclaim the Dharma and meaning that has been heard and not heard in accordance with the Dharma. This is also explained from "East" to "Above." Possessing the teaching of the Dharma is like a pleasing sound, because it makes those to be tamed who desire liberation hear a pleasing sound. This also explains the four Dharma seals by explaining the teachings and words of proclamation in the ten directions, such as the East. Here, the Prajñāpāramitā explains the four Dharma seals in all the realms of the ten directions. The four Dharma seals are: all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, all contaminated phenomena are suffering, all phenomena are without self, and nirvāṇa is peace. A river means a stream of water. Possessing the one path is like the flow of a river, because if one obtains the forbearance of non-arising Dharma, it will arise naturally. The one path itself is because the activities of the Bodhisattvas belonging to this path are not different. This is also in the ten directions, such as the East,

and words such as being mute, etc. Here, the Perfection of Wisdom is the characteristic of the one path to travel. All else is its fruit. One who is skilled in means is like a cloud, just as all the wealth of the container world comes from clouds. Dwelling in the abode of Tushita, etc., through showing, one does the benefit of all sentient beings. Because it depends on that manner. That is, beginning with "The Conduct of the Thus-Gone One" and ending with "The Five Objects of Desire." Those show the twenty-two instances of generating the mind of enlightenment. Now, the key instructions are to be spoken, the speaking for the sake of understanding is the key instruction. It is the close instruction of the key instruction of the meaning of perfect completeness. That is, there are ten types according to the distinction of objects: practice and truths, the Three Jewels such as the Buddha, non-attachment and complete non-fatigue, complete grasping of the path, the five eyes and the superknowledges, the six qualities and the path of seeing, and meditation, the key instruction is, know that it is the nature of ten. It is said that this is what was spoken. Practice is conduct. To whom? To the Perfection of Wisdom, because it is the occasion itself. That is, like this, from "endowed with life" etc., to "if one practices like that, the bodhisattva is practicing in the Perfection of Wisdom." After that, the benefits are shown, that is, from "giving the Dharma of the Buddha" etc., it is spoken through questions and answers. Here, the Perfection of Wisdom is non-conceptual wisdom, it is the antidote to the ten types of wandering conceptualizations. What are those? Here the verses say: non-entity and entity, superimposition and defamation, one and different, essence and difference, name as it is meaning, meaning as it is name, what is wandering conceptualization? That is explained as ten types. Among them, as an antidote to the conceptualization of non-entity, it is said that the bodhisattva himself exists.

That is, the Bodhisattva itself is the state of Dharmata. To counteract the conceptualization of things, it is said that "Bodhisattvas, etc., cannot be truly seen," meaning they are unattainable. This is because it prevents the real existence of people and laws. If the emptiness of form, etc., is Dharmata, then form, etc., will also exist. Therefore, to counteract the conceptualization of addition, Bodhisattvas, etc., are mentioned. Bodhisattvas, etc., are the objects of linguistic expression. Self-nature is the self-nature of Bodhisattvas, etc., which is emptiness, so it is invisible. If so, if there is nothing, emptiness will also not exist. To counteract this slander, "self-nature," etc., are mentioned. Here, there are also three kinds of nature: all dharmas are completely imputed, dependent on others, and perfectly established. What does not exist as it appears is completely imputed. What has no self-nature but exists in the way of appearance is dependent on others because it is dependent origination. The first is empty and separated from the second, which is perfectly established, because it is the constant nature. In this regard, the Blessed One sequentially revealed it through imputation, conceptualization, and Dharmata. In this way, it will also be shown from the occasion of creation. There are three kinds of nature: the nature of imputation, the nature of conceptualization, and the nature of Dharmata, etc. Therefore, "this" refers to the color of distinction. "This" refers to being empty of the color of complete imputation. "Self-nature" is because it always exists in itself. "Like this" refers to why. "Emptiness" refers to being empty of the nature of complete imputation. "Form" refers to the color of distinction, not being empty of it, because emptiness always exists here. Similarly, it should be added to consciousness. If those two have the same nature.
