It is a dream, because what is seen is without reference. It is an echo, because speech is without reference. It is an optical illusion, because form and its shadow are without reference. It is a mirage, because a mass of water is without reference. It is an illusion, because its cause is without reference. There is no affliction, because the nature of affliction is without reference. There is no purification, because all afflicted beings are without reference. There is no defilement, like the sky. There is no elaboration, because all elaborations have been completely destroyed. There is no pride, because all prideful thoughts have been completely destroyed. There is no wavering, because of abiding in the realm of reality, this is the aspect of omniscience. Depending on the nature of knowing the path, "Cause and path and suffering, And cessation, know in order, Those eight, seven, and five, And sixteen words are proclaimed." Thus it is said, the cause is origin. Therefore, here, origin and path are first spoken of because they have become the means to the result, while suffering and cessation have become the result. Their aspects, as stated in the sutra, are eight, seven, five, and sixteen in order. Among them, the eight of origin are: detachment from desire, non-abiding, peace, non-desire, non-hatred, non-ignorance, non-affliction, and no sentient being. Detachment from desire is because the cause of desire, such as form, is not perceived, the cause of desire is attachment. Abiding is attachment and craving, and because these are not present, there is non-abiding, because all phenomena such as form are without reference. Peace is because all phenomena such as form are fully awakened to the suchness that is not inverted. Non-desire is because there is no desire. Non-hatred is because there is no fault. Non-ignorance is because darkness has been destroyed. Non-affliction is because there is no conceptual thought.

The absence of sentient beings is because there are no sentient beings to be taken as an object. The truth of the path is immeasurable, unconnected to the two extremes, not different, without grasping, without discrimination, immeasurable, and without attachment. Immeasurable because it does not arise universally from all dharmas. Unconnected to the two extremes because there are no two extremes to be taken as an object. Not different because all dharmas are without distinction and are solitary. Without grasping because the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas have completely transcended karma. Without discrimination because there is no discrimination to be taken as an object. Immeasurable because there is no measure of all dharmas to be taken as an object. Without attachment because all dharmas are equal to the nature of space. The five sufferings are impermanence, suffering, emptiness, selflessness, and signlessness. Impermanence is because all dharmas, such as form, do not perish. That which does not perish is itself non-existence, therefore it is impermanent. The meaning of non-existence is the meaning of impermanence. Suffering is because there is no effort of seeking in all dharmas. Seeking is enjoyment. Emptiness is because there is no nature of all dharmas to be taken as an object. Selflessness is because there is no manifest attachment to all dharmas. Signlessness is because all dharmas have no characteristics. The sixteen aspects of cessation are the cessation of inner emptiness, because there are no inner dharmas to be taken as an object, from this beginning until the cessation of the emptiness of the nature of non-things, because there is no emptiness of the nature of non-things to be taken as an object, this in between is the aspect of knowing the path. By the power of all-knowingness, all-knowingness, with three distinctions, in accordance with the truth of the path, from mindfulness onwards, until the final Buddha, in the order of disciples, Bodhisattvas and Buddhas, it is considered to be thirty-seven, thirty-four and thirty-nine. Thus it is said, starting from the mindfulness of all-knowingness, the Buddha

There are one hundred and ten aspects between the aspects of the Buddha himself, starting from the perfection of mindfulness and ending with the perfection of the Buddha. Finally, those aspects that the Buddha himself possesses are called those. The Omniscient One himself, with the three distinctions of Hearers, Bodhisattvas, and Buddhas, in accordance with those truths of the path, are thirty-seven, thirty-four, and thirty-nine respectively. Among them, the aspects of enlightenment rely on the path of the Hearers, as well as the three doors of liberation, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings in equipoise, the four truths, and the ten perfections, relying on the path of the Bodhisattvas, as well as the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, the eighteen unshared qualities, what is called the Tathagata-nature, the self-born nature, and the Buddha-nature, relying on the path of the Buddha himself. Here, the so-called "completely transcending all dharmas" means completely transcending the dharmas of Hearers and so on. Because he speaks truthfully about how dharmas abide, therefore it is the Tathagata-nature. What is truthful? All the Buddha's utterances are truthful. Because it has occurred, it is occurrence, meaning it has occurred. The so-called self-born means that one desires oneself, therefore it is born, so it is self-born. How is that? Because it is freely controlling all dharmas. How is it Buddha-nature? Because of directly realizing all dharmas, that is, understanding all aspects. If all the aspects are combined into one, there are one hundred and seventy-three aspects. Now, the combination is to be discussed, because it is difficult to obtain even a little hearing of the Blessed Mother, so in order to show how to combine well, respect is paid to the Buddhas, from which roots of virtue are generated, possessing the protection of virtuous friends, this is a vessel for listening. Approaching the Buddha and universally questioning, practicing generosity and morality, receiving and holding.
